  1. I think it's nearly ready to go. I fixed one of the big problems I was having, the new math seems to work really smoothly. I'll keep trying to break it and unless Serino or one of the folks testing it finds a big problem I'll push it along this weekend.

    (rename it to WarpDrive.dll and do a direct replacement of the existing warp drive.dll) for those that want to test it.

    Also, this whole time I've been getting a spamming of errors in the log about the Destroy Nearby Ships module failing "[Log]: [WARP] ERROR IN DestroyNearbyShips". When I activate the drive. I have no idea why. I've had it disabled during my test DLLs but want to make sure there isn't a conflict when I push the alternate physics mode.

    can you or someone explain what this changes? (short version)

  2. You haven't given any gameplay details. What would you do with this blob?

    I open a container, it creates a blob, now I can move it around.. then what? If I right-click it, what menu items should show up?

    Remember this is just a idea/request for a mod, as for what you would do with a blob of goo, you could just move it around as you stated (witch is what i was thinking when i made this post), but as you can see some people have already posted ideas and there not to bad,

    take Porkjet's idea for example, you right click and get the options to turn the goo in to parts N stuff, as well as there are other ideas people posted... so yeah

    As for how it would replicate, maybe it would just grow overtime?.

  3. Sooo, like the stuff we have in the mystery goo canisters?

    I am not even sure what we can do with a bunch of goo floating in space with no method of propulsion or containment. Probably they will be ripped apart by tidal forces and form a nano-thin ring around a body?

    I have no idea whats inside those canisters :), but i was thinking of the mod being made so you have to send like a sphere/box to a planet and then open it, that would realise the goo that could then expand

  4. Not a bad idea but I'd imagine you'd need a very powerful computer to load in separate entities if there were to behave like actual nanobots and I doubt most machines could take it. Then again it could be set as one entity but they wouldn't work together as much.

    i was thinking of it just being 1 entity as well that would just look like a blob, but would move and behave as if it was made of billions of nanites.

  5. This is just a request for a mod that i think would be fun to have in KSP as well as this being my first EVER thread iv made on KSP,

    i took interest in this when i saw the lore for the Goo of the game Grey Goo

    so the goo was sent in to space to explore, who thinks it would be interesting to have a blob of billions of nanobots? witch you could then leave on a planet E.G EVE, and control it like a rover.

    this is just a idea/request :).

  6. Thing is... the oval (actually, an ovoid) is a pain to code, and not fun to re-model. You would get no additional space (you'd just lose some), and adds no gameplay value. I have no plans on doing this, because my plate is full as it is, and in my opinion, it adds nothing more than aesthetics.

    RE fusion drives... there's a fusion drive node in the CTT.

    What about coding it. and making it a separate download? for those who just want a more cool looking bubble?. like a download with a changed config or something.

    I am sure this has been asked, but I had a good search and couldn't find anything, can you use two of the drives to make a really massive ship spanning 2 warp bubbles?

    No your ship will explode. you can use 2 rings with the KSPI mod though.

  7. Gargantua already sucks you in, I've found. Either that or it sends you on an escape trajectory. Right now, if you fall in (god rest your soul), your ship just explodes. I'm thinking, once a few game-breaking bugs are fixed, I'll add several super high, pitch-black cloud layers to simulate 'going in'. This way you can have a few seconds of terror before your craft explodes due to 'high-g force'.

    sweet. also i was sires about IRL black holes are gods cameras :).

  8. Just thought I'd mention for anyone having issues trying to launch KSP with AVP and ATM, temporarily remove your other large mods and let KSP load and have ATM cache AVP files. Then add your other mods back.

    I also want to ask, is it possible to edit the frequency of the lightning? I feel like I'm watching a NASA timelapse video of the ISS when playing at normal speed.
