  1. How about the large SAS module? Is it beneficial to have more than one of those? I know that having more advanced stabalizers allow more torque and turning power but what about the large SAS modules? Do those work the same? The more you have the more control you have or do you only need 1?
  2. I wanted to know if there was a purpose to having more than 1 SAS model or inline traction wheel. Ive come to believe that the inline advanced stabilizer has become obsolete. But is there any benefit to having more than one sas mod or itrw? I looked through forums on their use but having seen anything about the number of them.
  3. Well I thought the purpose of the forums was to help each other out. No one forced you to read or answer my question. Also on almost all posts I see where some n one chimes in on an old post they are asked not to do so and to please start their own so I have always been in the habit of starting my own. But I guess im misunderstood in the purpose of the forums and Ill be sure to not ask for help any more as I guess that's not the purpose of them. Thank you for the correction Max I can refrain from being an inconvenience to any one else in the future. As for Mods I don't like to use them. I like to play games the way the designers intended them to be played and see mods as kind of cheating and am pretty sure they intend to implement aerodynamics in a future update any way along with the re-entry heat damage. Thank you for taking the time to answer my question and again very sorry for being an inconvenience to you. Edit im not over reacting I am actually truly sorry for being an inconvenience to some one who is more knowledgeable. I just dont know any other way to say it and realize it sounds like im trying to be a smart ass but thats not the case I just wanted to make a heart felt apology Edit 2 - I do also want to thank every one who took the time to reply to my question. Sounds like for now I will leave them off to save mass and wait for them to implement it fully into the game along with the reentry heat damage.
  4. Wondering if aerodynamics are implemented yet. As in is it worth the extra weight to put on nose cones on rockets and boosters? Or has aerodynamics not been implemented yet like reentry heat damage? I dont think it has been put into effect yet as I dont seem to notice any diffference if I add nose cones other than it looks better.
  5. Tried all of that and still couldnt get them to fire right so tried two seperate stages where first stage fired the sepratrons then the send stage decoulpled the boosters but some how the boosters were still still bumping into and taking out my main tanks so think its just time to figure out a new design. THank you every one fore your input.
  6. I bring it up because I have a stage with decouplers to drop my starter boosters. Each booster has a few sepatrons on it to help push it away from the main body. But the sepatrons are not firing and the boosters are just dropping straight down and clipping my main engines an fuel tanks nocking them off. Was wondering if the sepatrons where grouped would they fire properly or what am doing wrong to make them fire? I have sepatrons that push my main tanks away during asparasugs staging drops and works fine but for some reasons the boosters just drop and are not being pushed away.
  7. yah i understand how to setup extra stages. but lets say I have 10 boosters I want all to light at that stage. How do i make it so there is only one booster icon with the number 10 in it instead of 10 separate booster symbols.
  8. In the staging section similar itmes are grouped and just have a number on it. Other times I add a bunch of decoulpler boosters and they are all listed singly in the staging section. How do I group items up in staging so as to make the list smaller and mroe manageable than having a long list with a ton of single items.
  9. Ok i figured it out. Once I pull the capsule off it treats the whole rest of the ship as one piece. If I put capsule back on and then come down to a piece i want and click it, it will remove everything below that point as one piece and I can select anything above that point singly. Weird but at least I can work around it now. Thank you to all who gave advise its greatly appreciated.
  10. Ok even weirder. Keyboard shift keys didnt work. Tried pushing them down and even turning keyboard off. Then all of a sudden for a moment I was able to select a single part and pull it out of the rocket. Then i could single select all the tanks above it to remove the one decoupler I wanted to get rid of put it all back together. and now...lol i cant select single parts again. Only the capsule can i select and pull off. I have to be doing something silly here haha
  11. I did start with the capsule and build down adding tanks and engines and what not from there. Once I have saved the ship I can click just the capsule and remove it from the rest of the rocket. From there it does not matter where I click the rocket. Im not just trying one place here. I have tried every single piece engine, tank, decoupler, every time it just highlights and selects the whole rocket. Ill try the shift key thing and mash them both in a couple times and see if that helps. Maybe Ill just try turning my keyboard off and see what that does.
  12. So i have a really basic question and feel dumb i have to ask but can just not figure it out. When building rockets and I want to change or alter the design how do I select just one piece? Every time I try to click on a piece it selects the entire rocket. The only thing I can single select is the capsule and once i remove that nothing else. No matter where I click the rocket at or on what piece it just selects the whole thing. Appreciate any help and try not to lauch
