  2. Awesome! Works! Thanks! I was under the assumption that like a few other games bought via steam, you needed to be running steam to launch it. Obviously not! which is awesome!
  3. Hey guys, I was wondering, what is the best way to setup KSP for development? I've had a search on the forums and google, and only found tutorials on setting up the IDE, and using the KSP website version. none covering my following question: I have the steam version atm and I really don't want to have to keep adding/removing my mods to test things. I know if you buy it off the KSP website you can download and run from anywhere (apparently) - and thus have multiple KSP instances. So, should I re-purchase off the KSP website? Or is there a way to do this via steam? Would prefer not to have to spend the extra money (I'm a uni student = poor ) ... however if I have to, I'll consider it. ~ Kieran

  7. Its actually surprisingly stable... I get the occasional crash here and there, but im pretty sure its only being caused by one mod (one of the last 10 I added I think)... just needa find it xD So playing mod-shuffle to figure out what it is

Haha yea, java can be a b***h xD Although the one thing java did for me that C# didn't was teach me how OOP works properly xD (everyone in my C# class did psudo-oop or just straight coding, rather then actual proper oop hahaha) I stick with web development primarily lol Space is a concern for some people, but not too many nowadays. ok, cool, that should work thanks for the info ^^
  10. oh cool. Yea, done a bit of C# myself (although specialise more in Java, php, etc) Another quick question. I'm assuming this relies on the GameData install method? (i.e. mod folders being put in /GameData/ ) What happens with mods like the Kerbal Squad Texture Reduction were you need to throw a particular file in a different location, then run it, then overwrite some of Squads default files?
  11. Have been playing for... hmm... I think since version .18 - .18.3 or something Can make OK rockets, although loooots of room to improve. Can't make a decent spaceplane to save myself I can make it fly (sort of), but won't fly for too long or reach orbit xD
  12. My Jeb is in the space center designing and testing experimental rocket designs. (has some... interesting... results. especially considering Jebs liking of things that go BOOM)
  13. My speciality? making death traps called SSTO aircraft... (can never get flight dynamics correct... or fuel loads) All my kerbals want to go on my rockets instead of the aircraft... at least the rockets have a 50% chance of working

Thanks for the welcome two of said mods is to reduce texture sizes etc so my computer -doesn't- crash xD hahaha another one is to organise all the extra parts etc so I can actually sort through the parts in the assembly buildings (otherwise cue 10 hours of searching) Once I get my hosting sorted out (there was a... minor hiccup...) might get some info sheets up and running, and heck, might start a video series too xD
  15. Looking really really good! Can't wait, might be what I need haha (running about 42 mods) For updating, I'm assuming that it checks for updates when it runs? Also, will it just auto update, or go "There are updates avaliable! would you like to update?" Also! from the quick look at the screenshots, you open 'tabs' for mods to install etc, how are you going to handle a lot of tabs? if you close tabs for mods you have installed, is there a way to quickly re-open them? (like a page of installed mods or something?) (I'm an IT graduate, so my curiosity wins xD) So it loads the webpage in its backend and trawls the html to get the information and download link and all that? Curious how you did the downloading, although haven't really looked into downloading things via programs myself xD
  16. Hi all! Finally got around to registering on the forums Been playing KSP for a little while and currently running about 42 mods xD (including: RemoteTech2, Deadly ReEntry, Interstellar, FAR, Joint Reinforcement, Attachment System, and a fair few others) Still trying to figure out how to build decent spaceplanes, they are hard haha... Can get them flying, but not necessarily stable, able to orbit, or holding enough fuel. Especially running FAR, makes things a bit more difficult As for rockets, do OK with them, could probably improve my designs to make them more efficient and effective, but hey, they work (usually xD)... Although haven't done too much inter-planetary yet... need to work on getting things into orbit, and getting accurate orbits (getting satellites into geosync always seems to fail by ~20-50km xD) One question... Does anyone have a list of community video series? (eg. Scott Manleys Interstellar Quest) Searching on google and youtube for series can miss things, especially if your looking for series that use certain mods xD If not, I might start one up on my website Anywho, lets blow stu- I mean... make safe rockets... yes... safe...
