You've never landed on the Mun? How did you do on the tutorials?
-
In addition to the recommendation to take a fuel tank off, note that adding something little, like a wing or RCS thruster to the exploding SRB's should take away enough heat for the solid boosters to not explode.

The day we can do this in KSP is the day my life is complete

Actually, all that is missing is a cargo bay plugin... There is a fuel-exchange plugin and an orbital construction plugin. Edit: Your signature seems to be outdated. -

Eventually, yes. I just hope that they create all of these extra features in a friendly way. I'm sure many people look at Orbiter's interface and just go "NOPE," while many others (like myself) try to get into it but give up. That's probably why KSP is a lot more fun, even if it had no explosions and ships couldn't be built, KSP is (relatively) easy to get into. There's a vast difference between hitting the "m" key and seeing orbital paths, as opposed to navigating through screens of 2D circles and numbers. -
Am I missing installation instructions? I'm mostly confused with what I'm supposed to do with this .DS_Store file that's in every folder... Edit: Did some googling, deleted them and insalle dlike usual, worked fine. But, you should still add some documentation.

[UNOFFICIAL/FANMADE] 0.17 Discussion thread
Geeny replied to kacperrutka26's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Eh, it would probably only be Morz with any fixes they have (like the Kraken and fuel flow), a 16.1... Now that I think about it, it wouldn\'t be too unreasonable, just unlike them. Maybe, just maybe.... -
That\'s planned for 0.17, and this post belongs in the suggestions sub-forum of the Development forum.

[UNOFFICIAL/FANMADE] 0.17 Discussion thread

Will we have blurry planets in the map view (say, before an orbit is established)? It would be more exciting if we couldn\'t switch focus in map mode and see planets in full detail. It would spark our curiosity, you know? Less spoiler-y... If that makes sense. Edit: Bonus points if this blurry thing can be controlled by mods, so that the ISA Mapping Mod can control blurryness based on percent mapped. -
I don\'t like 'cheating.' Knowing that the key-combo is at the tip of my fingertips is... Unpleasant?
-
Dude... Spoiler Alert? This made me sad...

So... any negative comments???

'To shay' - hahahaha The story is purposeless, though. Not even very entertaining.

[STOCK] Trepidation: Space Delivery Vehicle
Geeny replied to Puterabo's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
That\'s a mess of solid boosters. I\'d replace them with more Liquid fuel and engines. Unless they\'ve been re-balanced one of the updates??? -
Huh... is it Avatar?
-
Well, what an interesting design, then.
-
I like how there\'s no engine, just a fuselage and flames...

The engine stopped burning with a few struggled sputters. The ship groaned, thankful to be released from the force of thrust. Aside from the life support, the only sound in the little room was the nervous breathing of Beck, the first Kerbal to orbit the Mun. He was afraid to look at his instrumentation. A slight mistake had taken him on an unplanned course, and he was not sure if he had enough fuel to push his perigee into the atmosphere. A few rolls of ductape and notebooks filled with frantic calculations and scribbles kept him company as they bounced between the walls. His eyes were fixed on one of the lights above the porthole, reminiscing to his childhood, pushed by fear to delay the inevitable as far as possible. Of course, he knew he was being silly. It would be best to find his fate out now, and prepare accordingly, but he had time. Approximately six hours, in fact. Assuming the best happens. He blinked, and felt the pain of staring into a bright light. He shifted his view below, and stared at the currently black porthole. His vision slowly returned, and he looked into the sea of stars years away. It dawned on him that he could spend the rest of his life staring at them, or at Kerbin through this little window outside. It felt strange, being so close to a certain end, knowing the irrelavent little chemical reaction that he was could end. Beck found it curious, how his little pod didn\'t seem to be in a crisis at all. It was a bright as on launch day, and the noise of the life support comforted him in an odd way. There were no alarms, no red lights. The ship didn\'t realize that the safety of the living, organic being it was meant to harbor depended on a few green numbers on a little screen. It didn\'t see that he would slowly starve to death, and be driven mad by the instincts designed to keep him alive. His eyes started to wander. First over the controls, then the engine heat gauge, the empty fuel gauge, and finally onto the black screen displaying the green numbers which commanded his fate. Pe: 92,745 m Beck screamed. SpaceJunk Corps. Entry: # 15693 Debris Classification: Outdated Payload Observations: Approximately 200 year old capsule, from before the war and historical purge. Contains decomposed Kerbonaut: nothing more than a skeletal blob, positioned with his hands gripping the sides of a porthole, and face glued to the glass. Fate: Harvested for water, all paper scanned, computer memory too corrupted for a read. Sent on a trajectory for the National Kerbal Museum of Space Sciences. (Or what is left of KSC, as it was known in this poor fellow\'s day). Payment depends on deployment of parachute, which is in good order. Comments? Be brutal, please.

[HOW-TO] Syncing ships with your friends
Geeny replied to Adiost666's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I don\'t think this has any advantages over a (working) Kessler...
