  1. Kitaaaaaah !! So its finally live Only 4 more minutes (good thing I got it on steam) and I get to dig into Career hard setting. I hope its challenging.
  2. I didn't build this shuttle for this challenge so it has no payload capability but I though I share it with you guys none the less. Behold, Kerbterprice. The 0.35 all stock US shuttle approximation. Only boosters for lift assist and the main engines run off the big tank only just like on the real thing. It also has enough fuel for the orbital maneuvering engines to get to an space station in low kerbin orbit and de-orbit for an KSC landing. I got an bigger and even more realistic shuttle that makes use of the ARM parts but so far I have not been able to make it preform well. It gets into orbit but is a real pita to fly and its forced to make use of the on board fuel just to make orbit leaving practically nothing for actual orbital maneuvering.
  3. Its duna meaning its very low grav so it not like you need a lot of thrust to get the thing in orbit. What I would try is transfer all the fuel out of the remaining side tank and turn that engine off. Then gently try and take the craft up with the remaining two engines. If you use only the minimal needed amount of throttle the SAS might have enough torque to keep the craft controllable.
  4. I'm going to necro this thread as IMO replay would be an really good feature to add. I would make making videos so much easier as well as taking screen shots for challenges ect. While making replay functionality for something physics based as KSP is not as strait forward as it would be for some other types of games is should be more then feasible and should have less of an performance impact compared to strait up video recording. The way I would approach it in KSP would be to basically run it as an animation recording. That is to say record location/rotation or "key frames" for each part at 15 or 30 fps (and then in play back that would be interpolated). While not 100% accurate especially if running very low capture FPS it would probably be pretty decent. As far as performance goes. Just give us a slider for the capture rate and the option to disable it. That way people who want it and have the needed hardware can use it and thous who are running slower system can disable it in order to get the best FPS.
  5. Hello. I'm Bit_Reaper and I'm form Finland. I'v been playing KSP since 0.20. By now I have about 250h put in to the game (and have completed the current career mode). Loving the game and eagerly waiting for A.R.M and 0.24 to go live. I'v even tried my hand at making a few mods though I don't seem to have any original ideas as every time I think I'm on to something I notice someone already made a mode like the one I was thinking about
  6. Ok. I think I have made the most minimal rover possible in stock .23. Its only 5 parts consisting of the 3x RoveMax Model 2's + QBE body + a single solar panel. I made it up the stairs in 1:38.
