So, one way to have a save system would be to simply use a source control application on the quicksave file. Well, you might as well put the whole /saves directory in it. "Simple enough with the Linux client," I thought smugly, "I'll just use git." Now when I click "Resume Saved" from the main menu, it tries to load the ".git" directory as a profile. Fair enough, you just click 'delete' and let that fail due to permissions and go on loading your profile... ..but still, is there a way to tell the client to ignore any "profiles" named '.git', or even better anything that starts with a dot?
