  1. It looks like a good multi purpose stock machine , but lose some of the winglets so you barely have enough to keep you on a straight line in the atmosphere , because the winglets do nothing in space AND just create drag in the atmosphere , which means it will take a lot more fuel to get you up into orbit. I would also attach some radial decouplers with boosters on for the third stage , because they create a lot of force for their mass in the atmosphere , which you can dump and save more fuel in orbit.

  2. As I\'m not at a computer that can handle KSP right now, I\'ll do my best to answer your questions. Suggestion: post screenshots so people aren\'t downloading blindly.

    1. Without testing it, it\'s hard to say.

    2. Check out White Owl\'s tutorials.

    3. It\'s on the page for C7\'s Aviation pack (the one that\'s titled 'C-7 Flight Pack v2.16').

    4. See 1.

Thanks , but I have looked at his tutorials and I havn\'t figured out how to build a jet engine , as it seems he is using just the C7 pack , not with the experiemental addon. Could anyone else help? I know I have to attach it with a pylon , and that the naccelle is the main body part of the engine (?) although apart from that I have no idea how to make one , or what the little black intake bits are for as they seem interchangeable.

  3. OK , so I recently got back into KSP and into C7 for the first time. I have no idea where to post this as this thread has two meanings , one to show off my craft and the other to ask newbie questions. I have made a heavy plane and so far the basic design is very nice and sortof basic , and so after seeing some people do it , I tried to attach a bomb to the underside of it. I fiddled about with the payload and how to attach it , and found that having a jet fuel tank with nose nozzels and two premade wing jets (the ones you find in the parts menu , not made by me) work well , with the engines starting up in the previous stage and then dropping it meant that I could drop it easily and have it glide to the destination.

My problem is , that it has become bottom heavy (As in underside heavy) , and when this is a space plane it ends up leaning against the take off pad tower , even if I throttle up and take off right when it loads. Like I said , this thread has two meanings , one to help me and the other to check out my craft.

    1. How would I alter the center of gravity without making the plane or the payloads attributes much?

    2. How would I go about making a jet engine out of seperate pieces? I have tried but the vagueness of the descriptions and the lack of C7 guides doesn\'t help.

    3. What is the C7 Hardpoints pack that people have been talking about? I have looked for it but found nothing , has it been amalgamated into another C7 pack?

    4. What do you think of my craft?

Thanks , and sorry if this is in the wrong section , it seemed the right place to put it at first.

    EDIT: Screenies up

  4. To get into an orbit with little eccentricity you have to work at it. One or two things to point out when doing orbital corrections-

If you wish to modify the ap, do it at the pe, and vice versa.

If you wish to decrease the distance that your ap is from earth, burn in the opposite direction that you are going, while you are at your pe. Your ap will start to reign in. Do experiments like this when you reach a stable orbit to figure out how to best maneuver ypurself

Thanks , I take it that if you do this for an extended burn it\'s what people call a retro burn and you can enter the atmosphere like this?

  5. Well, I use this method:

1: Have a rocket that gets me past the atmosphere (70,000). Your high point of the jump should be about 120,000 meters.

2: Tilt east until I\'m level with the horizon.

4: Wait for the high point of the jump.

5: At 5,000 meters before said high point, fire kicker stage.

6: After that stage burns out, fire the orbital corrections stage to get up to 2300 m/s.

7: Congrats! You should be in an eccentric orbit well above the atmosphere.

I\'ll attach my rocket of choice, as it was designed specifically for this plan.

Oh, and welcome to the forums!

    Thanks!

Also , when is it wise to engage rcs? For most of my ships I just put it on with sas at the launch but I\'v found once I\'m in space it\'s hard to navigate without RCS as they act as ways to move outside your rockets iirc.

EDIT: sorry for all the questions , but when you say head toward the horizon , do you mean the one on the gimball or the real horizon? And should you tilt towards there after 70KM or 115KM?

I managed to get into an orbit where I would end up far from the earth at one point but come back on my map , I assume this is a \'eccentric\' orbit.

    Thanks again!

  6. Hey , so I\'v been playing this game for a couple hours with SundayPunch\'s modpack and I\'v got the jist of building and taking off , the only problem is that there is a lot of things I am struggling with for example orbiting and I can only find tutorials on here and youtube for the basics , I was wondering if there is a complete guide type of thing that I could see to help me with this game

    Thanks

    Alex
