  1. Is there a way to capture crashes, grab the debug log and send it in? Would it even needed?
  2. I have to say devs - the UI is freaking TIGHT. Just getting started with the new release (.90)!
  3. Are you running 23.5 with Scansat? a lot of the comments on that mod suggested it would not run. How well does is the Extraplanetary LP working out? I'm running the others as well.
  4. A enjoy the career mode and have reached reached the final bracket (the 1000 science pods). I've just added the Kethane mod and it got me to thinking what other mods are career Kerbinauts using? I run a slew of mods - way to many to note but happy to share should it come up. Thanks

If this is a little simple - it just shows you how easily the little things can trip you up, to the point: I finally make it to Duna with Jeb and Bill, we land, gather our science (trying to get that 1000 sci for the electromagnet), and jump back into space. We meet up with the recon engine, dock (OMG - without RSC engines ... #ksppain), and head back to Kerbin. After breaking Duna gravity I start to match planes with Kerbin - my burn time grows 21, 22, 23, 24 ... totally confused. I try to circularize ... 1m 20, 1m 21, 1m 22 ... Now I'm thinking the Kraken is coming up behind me. Quicksave and exit ... restart the engine and the exact same thing happens again. Finally I zoom in on my craft and noticed that after I docked, I was still controlling the unified craft from my lander ... WHICH WAS UPSIDE DOWN I added a quick screenshot so peeps can see my mistake. The thin red lines show two craft control points (Sr decoupler and 2 man can) and which way "North/Up" is considered by the game engine - so if you try to thrust in a given direction, your burn time will go up - not down. Secondly in the diagram, the little green arrow show control point (Sr decoupler) and the big green shows engine "North/Up" ... which is where you always want to control your craft. TO THE MUN!
  7. way back in the day in AV when you could just stand in the cave (I know, I know, I know .... /vomit) and get free honor - GM's would message you to see if you were at the keyboard. Since I ran three boxes at the same time I needed a way to know if someone messaged one of my sponges. So I wrote WowProxy - it forwarded all messages to my main character that I was raiding with - then I could reply back to my alt, using meta-tags /r @<name> <message>, and have him reply to the GM ... I didn't see it as cheating, I was at the keyboard, it just happened to be on one keyboard that ran three boxes *shrugs* - WowAway was based on WowProxy - add messages to the queue /waway Hey there, sorry about the long wait I'm trying to feed my kids ... add a whole bunch of these, then when someone messaged you it would randomly pick a response and reply ... that one was truly cheating because I was at work ... they caught me because I did not write logic to make sure not to send the same response in X number of replies ...
  8. I was a huge WOW modder and wrote many, many, many add-ons. Was banned numerous times for "wowProxy" and "wowAway" so I share a development kinship for mods. This mod was annoying as hell when I first kicked it on. However, just now orbiting the moon at ~11 km, half-*** watching the wife play Thief and being Major Tom, I saw the screen began flashing orange and red ... I began to pay attentinon and holy ship ... it updates in real-time!! Just hover over "EVA Report" and when the science action pops ... grab it. Very nice work guys! (still not a fan of the UI, sorry) Request: Add buttons that will execute the right project/action. When you hit the 'MobileMaterialsLab@MunInSpaceLow' - have a 'Material Lab' icon that lights up. Click it ... done. No different than assigning an AG - but I use those to help control my crafts. Just a thought ...

  10. try hitting the C key a few times, sometimes switching between symmetrical and free select can unstick. Try placing an object about where you want it, then rotate it with your keys - it usually turns green

  12. My son turned me on to this simulator. Been addicted ever since - haven't done anything in the sandbox, career mode only - I'm a game-grinding junkie. My only comment is that there is not really a way to sustain science. I'm stuck at the 550 branch ...
