  1. Ahhh, I feel silly now. Thank you so much! That's exactly what I wanted.
  2. Ah, I see. It's not the actual attitude control that I wanted, I just love the clean interface and ability to specify heading/pitch/yaw numerically of RT. No worries, thanks!
  3. Hey guys, Sorry for probably a silly question, but does anyone know if it's possible to use just the flight computer from RemoteTech? I have always played with RemoteTech in the past, but I wanna give the new comms in 1.2 a try and RemoteTech has the by-far the best flight computer in my opinion. MechJeb isn't cutting it for me. Thanks so much!
  4. I'm not sure if it was PlanetShine, but after updating to 1.0.2 my game kept crashing when I would fly over or land at the desert on Kerbin and I haven't had any crashes since uninstalling it. I do have several other mods installed, so I definitely can't blame this one alone!
  5. Ahhh, I'm such an idiot. That's exactly what happened. I'm sorry, but thanks so much for your help. I'll just see myself out.
  6. Thanks for the quick response! No, my lander is manned and therefore does not have a probe core. Is that necessary to establish the relay? The white icon is just for VOID, but it's always been that way and I'm not aware of any errors (good eye though). Both the station and lander are always yellow. I've put antennae on manned vessels without probe cores before and been able to connect to KSC. I think I found a good illustration of my problem below. The manned lander (no core) is linking to the manned station (core and kerbals present). The station is connecting to KSC when I switch to it, but the connection ends at the station when I'm controlling the lander. Controlling lander: Controlling station:
  7. Hey guys, sorry if this has an easy answer or has been addressed before! I have a linking problem with a ship since I updated to v1.5.2. I have a lander with an antenna that won't link with a nearby station with a dish pointed at Kerbin and two active antennae. The station is connected to KSC, but I can't upload any data to KSC from the lander without docking first. Any ideas? I believe everything was working before I updated, but I'm not 100% on that. Thanks so much!
  8. All extremely helpful responses. I'll definitely check out that mod if I ever need to perform a parallel landing again. Thanks everyone!
  9. Ah, I see. That's too bad. Thanks for the explanations, they were very clear.
  10. Hey guys, I recently performed a rescue mission that seems to have gone awry. I sent a manned rescue ship and docked with a stranded manned command pod in orbit around the mun. I burned to a reentry trajectory while still docked, and then undocked as the ships were entering the atmosphere. I deployed my parachutes on both vessels successfully, but for some reason my second (rescued) ship seems to have disappeared. After some research, I heard ships will despawn if they're >2.5 km away from the ship you're focused on? If this is the case with my scenario, I don't understand why ships in orbit don't disappear. Is there anyway to change this threshold? I suppose I could try to leave ships docked during reentry, but I didn't think just the magnets would be able to withstand the stress. I guess I'm just looking for confirmation of my hypothesis and ideas for how to prevent loss of ships like this in the future. P.S. I know rescue missions normally involve kerbals just transferring to rescue, but I wanted to save the vessel too in this case.
