The goal of this challenge is to fly a plane around Kerbin in it's entirety, using as little fuel as possible. The only required mod is FAR (Ferram Aerospace Research, forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/20451-0-23-5-Ferram-Aerospace-Research-v0-13-3-4-30-14) The optional mods (so far) include... MechJeb (Not very useful on planes anyway) B9 Aerospace Any mods that add basic functionality and no parts (ex, Kerbal Alarm Clock, Crew Manifest) are permitted, but should be listed in the submission. So, down to the rules... Your altitude cannot exceed 35,000M at any point during the flight You may not use any mods, other than the ones listed You may use only standard, air breathing jet engines (This also excludes hybrid engines, like the R.A.P.I.E.R.) You may not use the debug console for anything (including allowing part clipping) A runway landing is not required, but a landing is (You may land in the grass, so long as it's within a kilometer of KSC) It must be a single-stage craft. Nothing may be jettisoned at any point during the flight, including breakaways due to aerodynamic stress or landing The plane must be manned at all times by at least one Kerbal Your plane can be as big or as small as you'd like. There is no speed limit, size limit, weight limit, etc. The only goal here is to get from point A, all the way around the world and back to point A while using as little fuel as possible (while not exceeding 35,000M). How to submit... Simple! Take a screenshot (default is F1) of your craft on the runway before the flight with the resources tab (in the top right) open so we can see your current fuel, take a screenshot of your craft in-flight at 50% of the way through the journey, again with the resources open, and lastly, take another screenshot of the plane landed at KSC with the resources tab open. Also, it's suggested to post a copy of your .craft file, but it's not required. Pro-Tip! Before the flight, make sure to plant a flag behind the runway, and maybe in front of too, that way you get waypoints of where it is! So that's it! Now, get out there and be economically efficient! Here's my (failed) submission... (Almost) full round trip, used under 100 units of fuel. Looks like a good trip is ahead! Less than 11 Km away, catastrophic failure Plane download link! Make sure you have MechJeb and B9 Aerospace installed http://www./view/8p2b4uqpp7ei57r/Hypersonic_Jet.craft
