I am a semi-retired guy that take pleasure in metaphysics, science, philosophy and related things. My professional life consisted and consists of my Church (A.B.O.T.C.)* that support two charter non-profits, MM and MOTC. I earned a masters working during the day and attending night schools after receiving my BS/BA at the local university (ETSU*) way back in the day using a VA grant and creative financing!…Hmmm this is sounding like a job application! Sorry, I will speed this up....I am currently living in (very far) east TN, in the mountains, and I am near the famous (or infamous depending on your opinion of auto racing) Bristol NASCAR track (good buddy!). I am working as hard as an above the knee amputee can to become 'off the grid' capable. By 'off the grid capable' I mean I am attempting to become as self sufficient as possible. Well, my new friends, sorry for the length of this, my first 'real' post . The length is one of my most difficult to resolve problems when it comes to English grammar, the ******* of world languages as my professor made a point of saying. Was he right? H,. tyhat may be a new thread! (lol) However all that said, I do look forward to meeting all of you soon! EgO

I too was pulling my hair out of my head (using tweezers) trying to find where to use a custom avatar etc etc. Most new forums, or the ones I have invested in no longer have the delay in posting or avatar creation etc. I do understand the reasons for the function, but at the risk of revealing the don’t trust anyone over thirty and other hints that expose my age such as the ‘ question authority!’ saying ha ha.. ... Oh well, thanks for providing the excellent forum. I say that because on cursory examinations the membership and staff appear above average in all areas and enjoy the same stuff I do. EgO

I am brandnewbie’ and was skimming the new members intros to get a feel for the memberships nuances etc, kind of like coming to a new poker game table (a friendly game) and sizing up the players as to what to do and not to do, ha ha ~ eh?
