It boggled my mind a bit that the Kerbans have so much information on the other planets in their solar system, despite never having done any proper research on any of these planets! I think it would be fantastic if at the start of a Science mode game the only information you had on foreign moons and planets was their existence and their orbits. Things like local gravity, atmosphere, etc. would only be unlocked after contact is made, or certain experiments are run!
