perhaps the best way to understand this by understanding the verticle launch is the stupidest method of
flight invented by man and only used by NASA of the United States to best the soviets in the moon race.
a horizontal launch followed by falling into orbit is the only method known to moi here yet the foolish keep lauching 'rockets' like the earth is a little 'flat' plane.
how are those orbital, a solar, and intersteller sailing craft suiting you boys? had the gumption to try them out yet?
moose the zoomer.
So by now, most of you will of heard of the realistic solar system mod by NathanKell. If you haven't, then click on THIS LINK. It basically resizes Kerbin and the planets to be more realistic. Also making getting into orbit hard. So fell free to post things that will help people starting their realistic space program. Here's one of mine:http://i.imgur.com/o68ITI7.png
This. For 10 TONS. Used it to launch the stock station core into a 115km circular orbit... I call it LV-Nebula-01 and its top payload is 15-tons to LE(K)O.
EDIT: 1,000 views! Thanks guys!

I AM MOOSE!! I know. this is how you achieve orbit. You build a slightly inclined track gradually climbing about 8 degrees. When a high enough speed is achieved the track changes into long large loops to achieve acxeleratio and velocity. . you leave the last loop a half loop. It will be acxelerating the payload in a slightly decreasing angle. you will be in vacuum being pulled down by the earths gravitational pull. leave fuel on earth, it is useless in space. in space you trust GOD first and the mighty Moose second. With moose you leave the shores and the linpid nobility behind, you know if their is a 'sir' in the name they only see your way as failure, for they loose their slave labour.
With Moose you acieve your goals and dreams!

PhotoEngineering engineering the solar wind with the age old success of men, the sailing ship.
[=Kagame;2056398]I don't always use nuFAR, but when I do, I... keep trying to put turboramjets, scramjets, and closed-cycle engines on the same airplane, in a format that looks like this. It doesn't normally work, but apparently the B9 radial intakes were the secret sauce to get it working:

Scramjets: Instell Inc. Experimental Technology (Scramjets! Wheeee-BOOOM.)
Wings: B9 Procedural Parts (gold for nuFAR users that can't get stock wings to area rule correctly)
Intakes: B9 Aerospace (non-officially-released dev version from Blowfish, he's got a link in his sig)
Nosecone with RCS: Mk. 2 Expansion Pack (more cockpits need integrated RCS thrusters IMO, just as they are in real life)
Due to the absurdly high number of RAM-crushing mods, I'm not gonna publish a DL link for this one. Just have it as some inspiration.
