  1. Not to belabor the issue further, but I arrived here as a result of my unfortunate attempt and assumption that the inflatable port could connect to a regular docking port. I found out the hard way so you don't have to!
  2. Hey Shadowmage. I removed Interstellar and the game went back to normal. The issue is apparently with the flat panels and the retractable ones, excluding the large retractable one. I'm not sure what's causing the conflict, but that's apparently where it's hiding.
  3. KSP: 1.3.1 Windows 7 64bit Problem: Same problem as the gentlemen above me. Extremely low FPS whenever solar panels are present. Testing using some stock ships with high part counts is fine, but as soon as solar panels are added it all slows down. All of my testing was done on using stock equipment. Mods installed: [all current] Kerbal Engineer , KSP Interstellar Extended, KIS, KAS, Reproduction steps: 1) Make vessel without solar panels and test it. Everything should work fine. 2) Add 2+ solar panels on vessel. Attempt a test launch. The game will slow down dramatically. 3) There is no change in fps in the VAB, however. (I just copied and pasted the guy above me since it's the exact same issue.) Since all three of us are using Interstellar, I'll try the game again after removing it to see if it still occurs.
  4. Spoiler alert alerts you of spoilers. What really caught me in interstellar was towards the end, when Cooper does his recovery of the other vessel and an ascention burn to get out of the decaying orbit, but overburns -so hard- that he flies clean out of the orbit and into Gargantua. That's a pretty awful throttle management.
  5. Hey guys! I'm new here. I've been getting comfortable with my ability to explore Kerbal, Mun and Minmus, but today I sought out a bigger challenge: a one man lander to Duna and back! Ladies and gentlemen, it was a success. It felt great to use manouver nodes at various points to build a effective and efficient flight plan. On my way to Duna I was coming into it from around the back, from underneath, and all wrong. With a few adjustments I fixed myself into a lovely little approach that also used a swing around Ike to slow me down. My only regret was waiting three years to get a decent transfer back to Kerbin. I am certain I could have done better, but this was just an awesome second experience. (My first experience was a probe that missed altogether and is now lost to the stars.) I tried to tell my fiancee about my space adventure, and she suggested I use a forum instead. Thanks again!
  6. I am glad that the music is a good as it is! The only issue is that the amount of playtime that goes into the game makes the music 'seem' stale and repetive. Squad should draft themselves an intern and, ah, suggest to them to compile a more interesting soundtrack.
