So yeah, not much to say about this one. Just a cool (?) looking "robot" pieced together from random parts. Explodes if put on the launch pad. Man I wish there were robotic parts in stock KSP.

So I got this thing into orbit on my 2nd or 3rd try and had still loads of fuel, so I decided to head for the Mun, and got it there in one piece. Well, ok, I reloaded once after a failed landing but who's counting So here we are on the Mun: Fuel is running low but that will have to do for the trip home. Accelerating... And we have liftoff! Man they really didn't waste any money on excess fuel... I have a feeling we might be coming in too steep... Please hold it together The spaceplane doesn't explode but it spins out of control and I can't get it back. Sorry guys, it's been an honor flying with you. Then we hit the ground: I declare this a succesfull mission. Craft file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6AGAxq0JMb5RVBldEhVLXlicWM/view?usp=sharing

The thread is reaching critical mass

The hype train has become sentient. It's only a matter of time when it's gonna devour us all

I'll buy all of you a beer if we reach page 1000

Just pitching in

Here's my pretty useless super-heavy 3-man overkill ssto. It has 24 turbojet engines, 4 nuclear engines and one kerbodyne kr-2l. I managed to get it to the Mun but didn't quite have enough fuel for a return.

There already is..? edit: oh, do you mean so I can eject it away? That will not work.

Here's something stupid I came up with: No mods used except for joint reinforcement. Maybe I should start a Kerbal amusement park? Download --> http://www./download/5n0939e56hh7cqc/vomit_machine.craft

KSP needs at least 1.000.000x time warp
dfg26 replied to dfg26's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I thought some mods included higher time warps which worked ok but I could be wrong. -
I don't know if there's an existing thread for issues like this? I think it makes no sense for the mk1-2 pod to be so heavy (4.1 tons), especially now when the new mk3 spaceplane cockpit is like three times larger and weighs less (3.9 tons). Or maybe mk3 cockpit should be much heavier? Either way I think some overall weight balancing on all the parts should be made.

I call this monstrosity The Towering Infernoâ„¢. Does it deliver huge payloads to orbit? No. Does it take large amounts of crew and equipment to another planets? No. Does it have any other purpose than being big? No. Did it crash my poor laptop dozens of times? Yes. This thing weighs 12501 tons, has 1491 parts and enough struts to build a replica of the Eiffel tower. It does take take off, believe it or not: Here goes the first stage: Last stage. Final velocity was 13430 m/s.

To minmus and back using nothing but nuclear engines
dfg26 replied to dfg26's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Glad you like it Here's the file if anyone wants to try it. I will post a video later if I can get any recording software to work, my computer has been acting up recently. http://www./view/t606ay2z1e1ek92/Atomic_Rockets_only.craft -
Hi everyone, first time poster here, been playing the game for few months though. I was wondering the other day, what kind of crazy stock desings could I build. So I came up with this: Yes, a spacecraft using nothing but 21 nuclear engines, capable of landing in minmus (with no landing legs so gotta be a bit careful there) and returning in one piece. I don't follow the forums so I don't know if this has been done yet. It took a lot of tinkering with, but I was able to get it back with just enough fuel to do a successful suicide burn, since this has no parachute. Used countless amount of quick saves though... I didn't use mechjeb in the final test mission. Sorry for not having more screenshots, I didn't have posting it here in mind when I made it edit: How do I post the .craft file?
