One of the biggest sadness in my life, is knowing that ill never be able to see that movie in a giant imax 3d screen Seriously, that movie changed my life. I dont think it can be judged for its innacurate science, since most of the movies visual language is transmitted trough metaphores, even that absurd scene when Clooney dies. In the end, it is a story about perseverance, and in the end, victory.

Theres a really cool concept, its not a planet, gut a great mass of gasses orbiting a star, the inner layer is habitable. It is basically a freefall world, where all the animals and plants evolved in zero g. I would like, altough i have zero hope, to see space tourism contracts, like "put this specific kerbal on the mun and return to kerbin safely"

Lets see, ive sent a refueling vessel to my space station... in a retograde orbit. Also, ive put a satellite in a 0 degree orbit, while i was aiming for 90 degrees. Last but not least, ive sent a mun mission with the perfect amount of delta v, all calculated by hand... witout accounting for the return. Wich led to the second biggest sin ever, a rescue mission.

Thats really cool, but how about a rocket with REALY big TWR? I mean, sometimes in ksp i build rockes with such violent TWR that the optimal apoapsis is reached far before the craft leaves the upper atmosphere, and the apoapsis starts dropping ever so slowly, while the craft is still in sub orbital flight. Would then the pilots feel some sort of acceleration? Ps. I know that humans tend to die upon high acceleration, hehe

Im curious on the nature of microgravity. I understand that in space, orbit to be , more precise, everything is constantly falling, thus the felling of no acceleration. But, how and when exactly during the flight does the craft feel no gravity? I remember a very outrageous scene in a superman movie in wich a plane flies so high up that in a given moment it passes the magical line of gravity and everyone iside it starts floating. I know that the scene is really stupid, but it got me thinking. So, do you feel the zero g only after the craft circularizes? Or as a gradual loss of weight, or what? Im curious.

ok, i don't know if this question belong in here, but here we go: suppose we are in orbit, we have two bodies: one astronaut in EVA, with an EMU, and a big chunck of a space station, or a shuttle. the astronaut has is not rotating, while the station is slowly rotating on all 3 axis (like around 2:10 in here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phv3VDH4tFk ). the astronaut moves towards the station and grabs it. what happens then? i mean, as he grabs the station his velocity is canceled and he rotates with it, but the station is rotating in all axis, how can he describe such rotation? what does happen with him? my mind is confused. i tryied making this situation in KSP, but for some reason the kerbal just let go of the ladder. someone has an answer? did anyone understood it at all?

I think its because kerbals are creative and fun guys, while the grox are total douchebags that infuriate you every 5 minutes in the game, invading your homeworld when you're in the other side of the galaxy. who would win? the Krogans.
