  1. This is my first attempt at a writing for KSP... It's not a writing of something in-game, really, but... It's something. And I like. So I hope you like it too. Chapter One The First Speech "Admiral Jeltson: 'Fifteen years ago today, our species selected twelve members of the elite space program to undergo a journey unlike any other. We maintained a communications link with them up until earlier this year. Their mission, as I’ve mentioned, is unique. They went out into space to find a new home. No, not another planet, but a home in space. Our species has become too big for this planet. We can no longer call Kerbin our home. At least not all of us." He pauses for a moment. “It is expected that the crew of UNS Hope has today set up the first section of Space Colony 12 in a stable orbit beyond Eeloo. This will be the 12 off-world colony, and, by far, the largest. The colony will serve as the future port of the Kerbol system, as well as a new home for kerbalkind. There, we can expand our species without limits, and we can further our scientific research. Space Colony 12 will grow to be more than just a colony; it will one day be considered its own entity, like Kerbin or Duna. For now, though, we ask for your patience. And your hope. Thank you.’ And that was Admiral Jeltson’s first speech regarding Colony 12.†The class claps Hans Kerman: "Good job, Eloy. Although, instead of saying ‘he pauses for a moment,’ perhaps you should yourself pause. Eloy: “Hmm… Perhaps.†Hans Kerman: "Apart from that, your performance here was flawless. As your teacher, I am expected to call out even minuscule mistakes.†Eloy: “In my research, I found that teachers in the old days often allowed for small mistakes.†Hans Kerman: “Ahh… yes. Not anymore; not since Colony 12 was established.†Eloy: “Why is that?†Hans Kerman: “We’ll talk about that tomorrow. We’ve got two more presentations to get through.†Eloy: “Okay…†Hans Kerman: “Now, Anlin, it is time for you to present.†Anlin: “I.. uh… I did not finish.†Hans Kerman: “Unacceptable. You will present anyways.†Anlin does his presentation. He mumbles his words, and at the end, he receives a muffled response from the class. Another presentation is done after. Hans Kerman: “To all who presented, bar Anlin, the work I’ve seen today is good. Now, tomorrow I would like to see three more presentations. We will have no class the next day, as it is Colonization Day. When we return to school, I’d like all of you to share with the class how your family arrived at Colony 12.†â€â€Ã¢â‚¬â€Ã¢â‚¬â€Ã¢â‚¬â€ Later that night… Eloy (whispering): "Anlin, do you know how your family arrived here?†Anlin: “Well… I’m guessing they were one of the families who paid to come here. Something like 80% of us are here because of money, right? Eloy: “Yeah…but, just think… Wouldn’t it be cool to find out that you’re related to a founder? Anlin: “Heh. Yeah, Hans just might give me a good grade for that.†Eloy: “You really don’t like him, huh?†Anlin: “It’s not that I don’t like him… He just, you know…†Eloy: “…?†Anlin: “...doesn’t like me.†Eloy: “How do you know that?†Anlin: “I just do. You can see it in his eyes. And in my grades. And everywhere else.†Eloy: “Well, try not to lose sleep over it.†Anlin: “I won’t.†Eloy: “Goodnight, bro.†Anlin: “Night."
  2. Today, I made an orbital rendezvous with my 26-year-old science satellite. The satellite had a probe core, a thermometer, and an ion propulsion system , and two 6x1 solar panels (no xenon...). Everything, I believe, was part of a few experimental contracts that gave me early access to some things in career mode. Anyways, today I took my Orbital Recovery Agent up into orbit. This is the first time I've used the claw in career. In orbit: Approach: Attached! Goodbye! I was just fooling around mostly, but I decided to adjust the old satellite's orbit (The satellite is called... wait for it... "Orbiter I") to a more circular orbit at a nice and comfy 100 km. I had it at an elliptical orbit at first due to not actually having xenon for the ion engine... So, what better time to fix this issue? I think I'll go and adjust the orbit of the Orbiter II satellite around the mun.
  3. I went back to the Mun (With a probe, for now) for the first time in a while. The final landing stage was all RCS, and was enough to land, take off, and then land back on Kerbin without parachutes.
  4. I added an escape pod to my station: One escape pod for 26 kerbals... I'm sure it's fine.
  5. I added a power array to my station: The power array is on the left. The station has a total of 24 kerbals on it. I'm thinking of putting an escape pod on next...
  6. Oh, thanks! Just wondering, how do you use spoilers? Can you use them? Thanks in advance. I'll check out that thread - Nin
  7. Nintendo

    Hello!

Hello, all! I'm Nintendo (not the company... just a person...). You can call me Nin. Anyways, I've been playing KSP since roughly a month before .23, but I had promised myself a while back that I'd not create a forum account until I made a successful docking. I know, it's a bit late, but today I had my first ever docking. I'm now creating a station (once I did the first docking, I could do it pretty easily for the rest). So... in that sense, my biggest achievement yet is, oddly, creating a space station. But that's not all I've done, it's just what I think is my biggest achievement. I've managed to do most things in the game -- Land a huge rover on both Duna and Eve, have return missions from them, have a base on Laythe, have satellites orbiting every body in the Kerbol system, and have a Voyager-esque craft leaving Kerbol right now. By no means am I an expert at the game, I mean, I couldn't even dock until today, but... I know how to build good rockets and fly them efficiently. Anyways, I just wanted to say hi, so, hello! Cue montage: Yeah...It's a small montage I deleted my screenshots when I downloaded .25 I look forward to being a true member of this community! - Nin
