My first decent Mk3 spaceplane. 10 rapiers, 2 ramjets, 4 nukes, a full-size ISRU and 2 drills. 200 tons of insanity sitting on Minmus It's going through a minor redesign as I didn't like the rough landing. I'll probably switch to a tail landing then let the nose tip forward offset by reaction wheels and several Vernors under the nose.

After a little diversion called Fallout 4, I made my way back to KSP. I finally got a Mk3 spaceplane to Minmus.

Question: how do you calculate a radiator's 'power rating'? I want to compare the performance of the stock radiators to PorkJet's radiators.

What is the meaning of the default values? The WP article uses much smaller numbers in its examples. I'm trying to understand what the system would call a small change and what is a large change.

Anyone having trouble with airbrakes and the new SP+ wings? I can only get the brakes to sit on top of a few of the new wing parts. Example: This one works: Not this one though:

Hello, I just made a login to thank you, Wanderfound, for this thread. I recently decided to take off the KSP aero training wheels and installed NEAR. After doing so, I could neither orbit nor land a spaceplane to save my life. The wings apparently had an ongoing feud with the fuselage and when things got hot, they split I found this thread and started reading and reading and reading. After about three days of lithological disassembly, I built this beastie based on your Velociraptor. It took me that long because I wanted to build it from scratch and work out all the settings myself instead of downloading a .craft file. It takes off, it orbits, and (with the help of some drogue 'chutes) it lands. Even MechJeb likes it. Thanks for taking the time to post all this stuff
