  1. how do you folks always come up with such beautiful designs? i mean really, my stuff gets the job done but it always looks nasty.
  2. funny thing is - i always used this pattern for my orbital fuel depots, only it used to be 8 2.5m tanks instead of 4 3.75m tanks and it worked perfectly fine with no issues whatsoever. the bug is already known? - good, so it might get fixed i had 2 on the center stack between the tanks, close to the center of mass. the cupola's torque was turned off. which is sad cos i hate struts on orbital installations, especially if they're relatively small like this here gas station...
  3. Sorry, yes, I should be more specific, I'll edit the challenge accordingly.
  4. i confess... yes, i once used mechjeb. and i confess... yes, i once used gravity hack. mea culpa, mea maxima culpa!
  5. Knock out Mission Control using an asteroid, aimed from LKO. Easy: Class A or B Normal: Class C Hard: Class D Manley: Class E - aimed from at least 350k altitude Remember: Pics or it didn't happen! EDIT by request: Rules: - It doesn't matter how you get your asteroid into a stable LKO - that's not the interesting part. Anybody can get a class E into LKO legitly so hyperedit it there if you wish. - From there on: Only vanilla parts or parts from the usual well-balanced mods (KW etc.) - No overpowered cheat-parts, no Alt-F12 - Mods that provide flight info are allowed Scoring: - Asteroid class x 10 - Direct hit doubles score - The use of mods that predict the impact location quarters the score - Other buildings than Mission Control don't count Remember: At the end of the day you can't buy anything for your score - it's the bragging rights you earn.
  6. played it since before minmus (what version was that?)
  7. that's why i ditched fraps and got bandicam, stuff is a lot brighter there.
  8. + a direct way directly back into the tracking station from any screen in the game + 90° adapters of various sizes + adapters from any size to any size + female kerbals
  9. Did this happen to anybody else / can you reproduce this bug? To see the bug in action check Environment: KSP 0.25 32bit, downloaded via Steam Modded AND unmodded Win 7, all current updates Recipe: + 4 3.75m tanks or half-tanks connected to a centerpiece in an X-pattern like seen in the above video. + It doesn't matter if they are connected to the centerpiece directly with a truss piece as spacer or perpendicular to an X-shaped I-beam structure, parallel or perpendicular to the main structure, connected directly or docked (tried all combinations). + Bug appears not to occur with empty tanks, total mass might matter here. + SAS and RCS don't make a difference. + Happens randomly and on load from tracking station. + Catastrophic failure can be prevented by going back to the space center without saving, then reloading the flight from the tracking station (involving a certain loss of progress). I will now delete the game completely and try to replicate the bug with a completely fresh installation. Expect follow-up post this evening.
