Not sure if this is the right place to post it, but the latest update deletes one of my ships because "it had the following parts missing: US.1R110.Wedge.KISContainer". I have the latest version of this mod, ksp and kis.

With the addition of G-force camera shaking in 1.0, it got me thinking how cool, and useful force-feedback for joysticks could be. It could be simply calculated by how much torque is being applied to a vessel in each axis, which would mean that any time the craft is tries to pint to a different heading than you, you would feel it. This would give the effect to a joystick from hard turns, g-force shaking, aerodynamic forces taking you off heading, and of course your craft being effected by "lithobraking". I dont think there is much more to say, and I think it should be kept simple like this, but if anyone has feedback or suggestions let me know.

Can you add + and - symbols next to the aspect that needs to be changed in the table?

we need to run some tests to find if this poor lump of moss will even survive a launch intact. what sort of sensors are we looking at? what if it separates from the launcher at night? also, how will it separate?

actually, what i was wondering how we align the craft with the sun after launch and correct from any error. we would need a sensor and the craft would have to make these corrections automatically.

once again, how are we planning to align the craft with the sun in terms of sensors and manoeuvring algorithms? Also, i think that all the craft's functions should be programmed in pre-launch, so that all we have to do is receive data rather than control it as well, which should save on transmitter power

just to be clear, we don't need continuous coverage by any means, just long enough to get data from the last several orbits

I'm back from reading through the thread. I think that the whole craft should be as reflective as possible, and the solar panels thermally insulated from the rest of the craft. as suggested earlier, another black part of the craft is also fully insulated from the craft, except for a controlled way to transfer heat to it, allowing as stable as possible and simple as possible temperature control. someone needs to work out how quickly it would cool down like this to see if we need any heating at all or just a radiator. i think it would be simple to have the four sides have solar panels that hinge up to make five panels in direct sun. all that would be needed is a simple spring to make them open and stay open and a simple release mechanism. How will we get the craft aligned with the sun before it spins up? also i have a friend who can 'acquire' any number of copies of autodesk inventor depending if it will be useful EDIT: have a look at this in terms of atmosphere sensor http://www.consumerphysics.com/myscio/

have we got any idea of what exactly we will be measuring from the moss? also, if we have an external camera for coolness, the internal camera could have some way to switch to a microscope aka moving lenses in front of it. what are we exactly going for in terms of the size/ shape/ material of the test chamber?
