Okay............... thanks for the help guys. I don't know why I expected a mission issued to me by a Kerbal to make perfect logical sense. But I'm learning!

It says "once all conditions are met, activate the part". One of the conditions is that I splash down. I used the part as my second stage rocket, and the detatched it (using the 909 as my final stage). I splashed down, but didn't complete the quest. That's when I read the note again. Whaaaaaaaaaat? You mean upgrading the science facility and such? Haven't gotten that far, mostly learning to steer rockets, how much fuel I need, and figuring out what the magic button is for completing a "survey over location X" mission is. I'll fly REALLY close to the map waypoint, and try to get my kerbals to gather data, but it's not letting me complete the mission...

Enjoying the game a ton! Thanks guys. Straight to it: 1) The tutorial text is kinda hard to read at times (24 inch monitor, 1080p, fully color calibrated, 40/20 eyesight). Something larger, or smoother (though that may not thematically fit) would sure make it easier for me.. 2) The launch seems really bare on ceremony. What if pressing space bar gave you a 3... 2... 1... countdown with a music swell? Might be nice for the final release
