So I used iStickyDuck's solution of creating a SPH folder in the 'ships' folder in the 'saved' folder for my affected game save and this did the trick! I'm stoked.

So just from browsing I've noticed I'm not the only one with this problem. Basically what's happening is I've recently re-installed KSP a vanilla version of KSP. I'm in early Career and I've only just unlocked the space plane components. So when I head to the SPH and create a vehicle, I press Save, and then try to Launch. Just then, the UI grays itself out, the buttons become useless, and I can't bring up the menu or exit to the main Complex. If I quit the game, and start over, the vehicle isn't even available when I try to load it. (There's simply nothing, as if I never created a craft in the first place). This is evident in the .craft files as well, seeing as it's not even there. This is important for me, especially early in Career mode, because the plane helps gather a lot of science around Kerbin. I've verified the game cache and upon reaching 100% it gives me a message saying something about one file being unverifiable and will be "reacquired". I don't know what this means, I've never seen this message whilst verifying the game cache. I'm running KSP v1.0.2 through Steam on 64-bit Windows. My most current install is probably the third time and the third new save file I've created because bugs have made the game unplayable. I'm trying not to complain, but it's pretty frustrating considering I've never experienced the mid to end-game KSP gameplay because game breaking bugs. Hey guys I'm having the same issue here. Thought I'd be the only one but this seems common... Not really tech savvy, but I love this game and I want to make it work. I have tried Claw's solution that he linked to regarding corrupt files stemming from firing previously hired Pilots (In my case it was Jeb). I must have done something wrong because after I edited the persistent.sfs to match the block that Claw posted, the game was simply showing up as "Just started" in my saved files menu in-game. Also, wouldn't even load, it was just a functionless button. You can see this is my first post here, I have never once had an issue with this game, but I updated to 0.90 last week and this happened shortly after. If anyone can help me edit the persistent file properly (Maybe I'm leaving blank space, but it's hard to use notepad to *not* include blank space?), but then I'd be happy to upload my persistent.sfs and output log for study.
