  3. uhm, after one click's "IVA"... how does one get out of the cockpit view? what button do I push to return to the Staging point of view? the details like this keep making it hard for me to really get into this game. another "its only obvious" question: if I have a survey mission out at say "slartbartifast's pinnacle tableau" how could I fly to that point if the only clue I can manage to get is a lime green clip board on the nav ball? is there another way to "know where to go?"

  5. well, you are right. in fact, everyone here is. I am in the wrong and acting entitled. I paid for the game - true; but that is where the developer responsibility ends. the basic game works without mods, and no one claims responsibility for the quality/usefulness of any mod. quite frankly, I just want to build futuristic spacecraft with gravity technology based on fundamental force conversion... and that isn't what KSP does.
  6. Even if a mod is a disaster: take what it is supposed to do and "Re-master" then Incorporate. I can get B-9 aerospace installed IF IT IS THE VERY FIRST, but it bars anything that has "Tweaker" files in it... I can get Lacars II to work, and the SCI-FI space ships too... just the absurd SHEER SIZE of say, VOYAGER makes it impossible to work with... Get this, I even found conflicts when installing "Near future (insert)" set of mods... I can't get a package of these things to work together for long, alternately nor can I add anything else. Excuse me, I have a full 100% delete of KSP to do, and then a re-install and to start adding mods one by one, hoping there is no conflict with "Firespitter", mdblls, or cnfg, thingies. I just get filled with delight every time I see the message, "this file is not compatible" with the patching screen... Capital of UGH! why did I buy this game again? isn't it to have fun? I don't think I bought a code writing tutorial...
  7. Make all the mods official, re-master, incorporate them all. Why? Because I can't seem to find the exact issue I am having. I am not a computer programmer, but I read and follow instructions *Very* carefully. I have been adding mods ONE-AT-A-TIME and starting the game to check both career and sandbox loading of the hangars. Evidently, I add one too many (*or in an incorrect order - as I may be finding out) and the whole thing fails. or the SPH,VSB are out of whack... or the game crashes on my way to the launch pad... or worse still - I can not even get past the installer patching... Something is amiss and I resent that I must resort to tedium to attempt to solve the issues I have. Please help.
  8. how about "Safe Vtol"? I have been experimenting with the mod "oblivion bubbleship and drone". I can use my fuel valve for controlling thrust (very crude) I can use "Infernal robotics" to rotate the engines, I can even fly with the control keys. my major problem is just that I have seen aircraft start rolling down the strip with 0 throttle, and not having pressed space bar. I can not seem to fine tune my trust for landing intelligently. it is as if friction doesn't work. it is as if I have two choices - Rocketing off, or falling. if the only way to really land anything is limited to PARACHUTES... then this game is going to loose my support - fast.
  9. I for one do not understand why the game just "DROPS" you off at the space center. I have no idea that there is an "Achievement" list and know even less about how to GET a contract. I would have thought that contracts would be through the admin building - nope. I don't see them there. I have some floating tags when I use the tracking station, but that doesn't tell me how to GET the contracts - or even what the contracts are... to be brief, WHERE ARE THE NOOB QUESTS that teach me how to play? the tutorials in the game don't even mention contracts or achievements.
  10. Hello everyone, I used the search tool before I posted this challenge. I am new to this game so I do not know if it has been done before. Please be patient. is there a variable anti-gravity thruster (akin to the experiments Harold "sonny" White- Mach effect thruster, or Woodward's Quantum vacuum plasma thruster)? That is what I am looking for; a way to represent in the game the possibility that Kerbus Kerbsend Brown, Nikerbalia Tesla, or other Rogue inventor invented such a device. Side questions: not wanting to Necro: Has anyone made a simple "U.F.O." ? Has anyone mastered the robotics enough to make a transforming varitech fighter? Has anyone made the MACROSS (*Sdf-1)?
