The R&D center is fully upgraded to the tune of 3180000 ouch, as is mission control, launch pad and admin bldng I did a strategy early to convert some funds into science STUPID cause now I cant go the other way?? Hi All, I'm an old poop noobie slogging along trying to learn this wonderful game. I'm playing normal career mode in.90, only version I have played, only learned of KSP after it made the news with the Elon Musk thing LOL Anyway only mods are mech jeb , which I don't use and advanced NAV ball, so I can see the #### thing LOL Question is: I seem to have maxed out the tech tree @ automation which is a mechjeb thing I think?? I have over 14K science with nothing to spend it on?? Do you have to fully upgrade all the facilitys to unlock more of the tree? I'm having trouble raising the kind of funds needed to finish upgrading everything! Is it possible that I made a dumb move in the admin building???? Or do I just need to keep cranking out the contracts?

Hi all, newbee questions? First some history I have been flying flight sims for years and have built and flown my own "ultralight" plane, look me up on youtube. Main question: What view is best for landing? I have been using a top down chase view but this gives me no clue what kind of slope I'm coming down on? Trying to land just east of the huge crater on Mun from a 7000 m circular equitorial orbit. My lander is a MK1 capsule with a 100 and 200 tank and 909 engine so it is a bit top heavy. Make nice landings some times and still fall over LOL Does thrusting at low altitude over a slope cause you to start drifting in a direction that you weren't previously traveling? This game is hard but I love it!!! V.9 installed right after Elon Musk mentioned it in the news!

Thank you Norpo and Starwhip, that's exactly what I thought was going on. I have spent more time watching Scott's great videos than I have playing the game so far LOL. I may have to start over AGAIN as I think I wasted some funds in the admin building for a fund raising campaign that should have went to building upgrades. Not a big deal I have only played 2 days and know how to do some of the contracts much easier. Thanks again for the help!! Gent

I just discovered this game after reading a news story where Elon Musk endorsed it, hey I gotta check this out!!! I was born in 1957 and have always been in love with the space program but never had the opportunity to participate. I just started Friday and I love it so far!!! One question and I think I know the answer, in the tutorials I'm able to collect surface samples but starting from scratch in career mode it seems that I can't? And when I try to EVA in space it says I need to upgrade my astronaut facility?? This is making it tough to gather much science, but I have been able to do some contracts and get some funds?? Any tips would be welcome!! Glad to be on board this looks like an awesome forum!!
