  1. THE KERBAL SCIENCE JOURNAL Headlines: Budget cuts force the Kerbal Space Program to open its doors to private contractors "There's just no change left in the budget jar any more" - Gene Kerman Companies of Kerbin, the Kerbal Space Center is now offering free use of it's facilities to launch private missions. This could be the beginning of a new age of a free market for space exploration. Recent budget cuts have forced the KSP into financial troubles (mainly due to engineers at the KSC creating one too many wobbly rockets and paying compensation to one too many KIA kerbonauts). The newly created Private Contractors Administration Department (PCAD) is now accepting ship and mission profile submissions. These submissions will be hyper edited into an integrated save file which will be periodically uploaded with a description of 'the story so far'. This will create a stock save file for engineers to use containing a universe filled with hundreds of ships, satellites, bases, probes etc. The rules for submissions are as follows: Ships must be STOCK (KSP refuses to sink as low as allowing private contractors to launch missions with their own parts). Ship names must include a short acronym of the company name (for identification purposes and to prevent expensive lawsuits arguing about who owns which fancy space telescope). Submissions must include a description of your company and what it specializes in. Submissions must be uploaded with photo evidence that the ship can legitimately reach its intended hyper edit destination. The ships intended hyper edit destination must be a stable, such as a parking orbit, or landed. The PCAD is looking for a wide range of ships such as: Satellites Telescopes Comms Defense Scientific Etc [*]Probes [*]Bases [*]Stations [*]Rovers [*]Manned & unmanned ships Scientific Transport Military Exploration Space planes Etc And any others. I will be uploading the latest save file weekly including all the latest submissions. And so the privatization of space begins. "Why are you quoting me I have cost you literally billions in crashed ships" - Jebediah Kerman
