Every time i fail, I learn something new I also have one of this satellite in orbit missions now... after many small course corrections I have now matched my real orbit with the line in the orbit map as close as possible, in fact, I have a difference of < 500 meters in periapsis and the other, yet still the mission is not done (the maintain correct orbit goal is not marked complete)... Now, I read here, that also the directon of my rotation is needed to match, and now I noticed that too in the map .... Well, of course I'm now going the wrong direction...duh.... is there even a way of going the other way around without changing my entire orbit again ? Or have I just failed again ? (edit) never mind, just burn in oposite direction till the orbit switches.... Mission complete... Yay, money and research -
Good to see there is a fix for this, I had this one too.... @Devs : Since the error is in the save file, are you interested in my save file for looking at this bug ? My game is still very much at the beginning, and technically I only have 4 Kerbals... 3 in active duty, and if I remember correctly one in orbit (or dead, not sure anymore)..Just drop me a pn when you want it.

Thanks for the answer.... When I get the money I will update the tracking station (obviously you need both, tracking station AND mission control)... No luck with my problem though F5 didn't worked, it didn't create me a save file... And when I hit quick load I was back at the spacecenter before the mission Bummer, but cannot change that ... But it was worth a try, thanks anyway

Hey guys, need help one more time, since the game isn't giving me feedback in career mode. First problem : In the space map I'm unable to set a course... Usually when you click the apothesis icon you get the "course-meter" (you know what I mean ) where you can click and drag to set a course for a orbit or something else... But I'm not allowed to do that in the career mode, nothing happens when I click the icon... Most likely I'm missing something... What is mandatory for being allowed to do that ? Second, more bad at the moment : I just came back from a nice orbital flight... completed two small missions in orbit, and then landed back on kerbal very smoothly. Only capsule left, no damage, kerbal alive... But now I cannot end the flight, i will bite my ass when I loose this progress.... What I tried : I cannot click the "recover button" or the "spacecenter" button above the alt-meter... Everytime I do, I just get the "no target" message. Also, when I hit ESC, I cannot "end flight" (that option isn't even in the list) and I cannot go back to space center, I can only revert, which would be really unfair. Maybe related : I landed very far away from my base, probably on the other side of the planet (in a big desert)... And I haven't actived the action (order) that allows recovery from far away... Is that the problem ? Yet still I should be able to end the flight and loose the kerbal itself. Anyone know what is wrong ?

Hey Guys, I wasn't able to test it all, especially I didn't reveice a "test engine on landed", but I got two for test engine when get splashed....it worked... I should have been suspicious yesterday.. The problem obviously was, that the new update (started from the launcher) which has been copied in my old folder did create a mess. It doubled a lot of stuff. I had tutorials twice, one working, the others not, and also (I didn't noticed, thought it was some kind of limited inventory) a lot of the items in the building screen were doubled. I had the engines twice, the parasuits twice , command modules twice and so on... And most likely I used the wrong (old) parts for my ship, and the mission itself wasn't able to handle that outdated part. My complete new downloaded installation is clean with single items, and as said, at least the "splashed" test worked.. Will see how it goes tomorrow with the rest... The dev's might wanna check the update process for >1 year old installations. Thank you all for your time and patience

@Cicatrix : I already did, it's my last post (third from below) on page 1... Everything is done from the points you mentioned. @KSK : I did... I built many ships, from big to only capsules tank and engine... drained fuel complete and standing 5 minutes with running engine on the landing pad, and while i did the pre-requisites (kerbal and landed) were green all the time... Also, this problem appears with ALL missions where I had to test engines, or at least the three I tried yesterday. Either it's a bug, or it's not really checked because I do not use docking clamps (because I haven't received those yet)... I will try re-install... If this isn't a common known problem, it must be my installation (updated old installation). I make a complete new one this evening.

@Sampa + Etherdragon : Thanks for your comments, but i did both. It clearly says "staging"... Also, the thing is in this second campaign try I don't even have the docking clamps, and I also don't have received the mission to test them.... Seems like a few mandatory items shouldn't be randomized when testing. In the first try, where the seperators failed, I at least had the mission to test them. However, I also agree that a complete reinstall (not an update) would be the next step, something is not right here. I updated my old install folder, and even though it went through to 100%, I have seen a 2 or 3 red errormessages in the update list. Will try this evening and give feedback if the problem is solved. @Alexin : Thanks for helping and analyzing

This is one of many constructions with different functionalities... In all, the missions couldn't be completed. Since i'm at the very start, I do not even have access to the docking clamps, that's why I made the columns, I needed weight so the ship doesn't lift off. As soon as the ship lifts, the "landed" condition is no longer fullfilled, so the game seems to notice the conditions are there, but it doesn't trigger / check the engines are running (as I said, the test mission with the decoupler worked fine on ground with just using the stage to activate). The correct engine is built in of course. Also, the right click window doesn't have some test button or such. This ship can now use up the entire fuel while running the engine and doesn't lift off, still no mission complete. http://omnitech.hard-light.net/team/starman/pics/kerbal.jpg When I open the "note", it only says : "To perform the test, activate the part through the staging sequence when all test conditions are met" They are, and I have

Well, right click shows no test button, and I activate it via stage (space).... Since it's now the second engine with this problem, maybe it's really an issue... ....The mission desription also says I should run it via the stages, no effect... I even created bizarre vehicles with more than one engines in all directions, and used up all the fuel without even leaving the ground... must be a bug then.... The others tests (i.e. the decoupler) worked fine with the stage function. Bites me a bit... Coming back after more than one year, and running against a wall so shortly after I hope this get's fixed soon (edit) third mission of that type, a different engine, same result... That's a plot stopper, because when I cancel the mission, I'm not getting the item in the build options.

Same issue, other item / mission...... this really frustrates me now This mission I shall test the LV909 liquid engine.... Create a vessel that stands on the ground... Both demands (kerbal and landed) are green, but now matter what I do to the engine (on / off, full speed, no speed)... no goal complete... When I right click there is nowhere a "test" button... I can only limit fuel, activate and deactive the engine and something called "glimp"... nothing works, nothing helps... I must be incredible dumb Any other ideas / tipps ?

Hi Kerbals, please give me a bit of help with one of these starting missions... The description is rather bad, a few more words wouldn't have hurt. I successfully testet the decoupler on ground, just actived the stage without even launching, but the sepatron mission is making me bit the keyboard. When I do it on ground, the goal isn't counted... Ok, so it says "kerbal" and "land"... ok , then I do this... I built a vessel... I launched it even with seperators... then decoupled them and landed with a parasute.....Once landed (the goal get's a green mark) I activated another stage with three seperators that shoot a part on the top in the sky... no goal check... last stage was a single seperator on the landed capsule... activated it, was pushing my landed capsules around, still now goal. What gives ???? What am I supposed to do here ? The mission description doesn't say anymore... What did I miss ? Thanks for helping
