  1. Set up a maneuver node for your Mun periapsis. Drag the retrograde component until you get a circular orbit. You'll want to start your retrograde burn at half the time before you hit the maneuver node. For example, if it says the burn will take 60 seconds, start burning retrograde at 30 seconds before the node. Good luck and fly safe! EDIT: If you're in early career mode you might not have maneuver nodes yet, so I suggest trying in sandbox mode first until you get a feel for it.
  2. You can use physical time acceleration up to 4x by holding the modifier key (Alt on Windows) and using the normal time acceleration keys.
  3. I find using the chase cam helps immensely with this.
  4. If you can't get it to work with a slow and steady control of thrust, consider a puller design. They tend to be a bit more stable. For the lower thrust approach, keep in mind that you can do your interplanetary transfer in multiple burns. For example, if a burn is going to take 15 minutes at 50% thrust (or whatever level works so that your craft doesn't wobble), you can do three five-minute burns, starting each two and a half minutes before the ejection angle point in your orbit. As long as your burns keep you in the sphere of influence of the body you are leaving from, you can do this. Note though, that if you raise your apoapsis really high, it can take so long for an orbit that your ejection angle will change.
  5. Are you docking stuff to it that was created before the station? I believe the oldest craft always takes precedence for the name.
  6. You will get 15,000 kerbal bucks each time you complete a goal of the mission. When you complete the last one, you will get the 15,000 for that last goal and then the 105,000 for completing the entire mission.
  7. If you have Kerbal Attachment System, you can send another ship with containers loaded with solar panels and have a kerbal attach them during EVA. Otherwise, you could use the claw to grab your disabled ship with a rescue ship and try to bring it back.
  8. Is it possible you're looking at a base from the MKS/OKS Colonization Systems mod? That mod includes flexotubes and expandotubes that sound like what you are describing.
