(New to the forums, so hi ) Today, I decided to attempt a vertical takeoff plane, and after an hour or so of tweaking I finally got the tiny craft to lift straight up. The next stage detached the two vertical engines and fuel tanks and simultaneously fired the normal horizontal engine. So while doing some test runs, I let the tanks on the vertical engines run dry and then did the same for the other engine, checked the orbital map and I was on my way out of Kerbin's influence and into an orbit around the Sun.
