  1. Excellent guide Trebuchet-Launch! Great detail & really easy to follow for non mathematicians like myself. Well done indeed. Looking forward to more guides for dummies for the other planets.
  2. Welcome to a classic game in the making, have a pleasant flight!

Welcome to a fellow aussie! Get ready for many hours, days, weeks, months of of Kerbalism. Have a nice flight.
  4. Man don\'t want to reveal my age or anything :-[ but I remember that show when I kid, & I\'ve dreamed my whole life about what it\'d be like to fly the Eagle. I even remember one of the rich kids at school had an eagle toy, I wanted it so bad! Keep going RedSpar, can\'t wait!
  5. Me too, I was on summer holidays saw this mad rocket game on the Good Game tv show, it was free & looked a lot of fun. Downloaded it straight away, paid the donation now cant leave it alone! Best 10 bucks I ever spent.
  6. Cheers thanks for the link I\'ll definitely try that out. As far as the guide goes I sort of knew deep inside that we would have to wait for the full release, just thought there may be some sort of interim 'manual'. Thanks also UmbralRaptor much appreciated
  7. Hi all, Would there be such a thing as a readme or a guide on how to do things like edit persistence or quicksaves or even how to optimise settings, keyboard shortcuts etc...? I don\'t believe I have come across any total bundle of information like that. If anyone knows where to look for that information can you please post a link. If there isn\'t such a set of instructions does anyone know if there are any plans to compile one? I\'ve seen bits & pieces scattered over various topics, so I think it would be a good idea to be able to find a detailed set in one place. I think especially for new players something like that would be handy. cheers
  8. Downloaded perfectly thanks team. 8)
  9. For $10 bucks this is unbelievable value. I have had far more enjoyment and hours out of this amazing 'demo' than what I have previously had from some of those blockbuster titles that once you\'ve finished it all it\'s good for is to hang from a fruit tree to keep the birds away! I can\'t wait for the full version. Great game without all the wank!
  10. Excellent first post and tutorial, well done and welcome to the forum! Would be good to see that on a you tube type tutorial. Great job 8)
  11. you should see the monstrosities I was launching before the last few updates. Triple and quad towers of fuel tanks that needed extensive help from SRBs just to lift off the pad at a plodding pace. Mighty impressive, just not terribly elegant. This thing is a svelte little spaceplane in comparison. 8)
  12. Thanks for your welcomes, will look forward to chewing your brains in the future.
  13. Thanks and... Arrr! me skirveys Yo Ho Ho!
  14. First of all thanks developers and posters alike this game is developing into a classic even before it has been really released. The tutorials here are really helpful to make this game enjoyable so that you don\'t necessarily have to be an astro-physicist to play it (might help though). I first saw this game on a game review show on Australian tv over the xmas holidays so downloaded it and have been hooked ever since. I made my donation a while back so I cant wait to see the full version. If any of you remember the TV show Mork & Mindy, all there is left to say is Nanoo Nanoo!
  15. Hi Rickenbacker, yes its all a bit hit and miss at the moment, I seem to be sort of getting the hang of obtaining a solid circular orbit by absolutely gunning it full throttle from lift off pitching over gradually so fully over by 40k still accelerating up until about 2200m/s then shut off so you sneak up to the AP once there or just before, gun it again and hit the map button and watch the orbit form. I\'m finding a much more circular & stable orbit this way. The craft closette designed is heaps stable and easy to fly, I used her design and added a bit, give it a crack it certainly gets you up there.
  16. Ha not Uri Geller but Yuri Gagarin, I misspelt his first name, I thought the pic would give it away . Anyway all I modified to your machine was to add a bit off oomph to get it off the ground with a few extra SFBs, mainly because I\'m still struggling a bit to find a good orbit to set up a mun approach & some extra RCSs for a bit of overkill & some struts to hold it all together. I\'ve tried to attach it so hopefully it works. I also read on another post that at about 10000m start to lean at about 80 degrees then all the way over between 30-40000m. I\'m finding obtaining a good orbit using this method works for me most times.
  17. Thanks closette I copied your creation and added a bit & made it to the Mun & landed (didn\'t quite make it back though). Cant quite get the hang of the RCS thrusters as yet, I too are using keyboard only. Excellent design very stable. Cheers for sharing your design, I\'m an absolute noob to this, but this game rocks.
