  1. Procedural parts, I think. The "Master Cube" is just giant 2x panels. Not sure about the white spots, though.
  2. UPDATE: Eve is, in fact, easy mode. Landed with only 10 airbrakes at 16.6m/s. Just be aware that you can't use an external seat on Eve because the ambient temperature INSTANTLY kills your kerbal.
  3. If it can gain significant altitude during its descent, it's a glider/plane/not allowed. It should ideally fall fairly straight down. (Excluding initial aerobraking) Helicopter designs are fine as well.
  4. Hard, but probably not impossible. Might require some clever maneuvers. May need to make a sig badge for Duna pod landings. As for Moho, fixed. I haven't been there since it got added, at which point it behaved like it had an atmo. Duely noted.
  5. Hyperedit is fine, as long as you begin your descent outside the atmosphere.
  6. With the new aero system in place, we need more interesting challenges. This challenge entails landing a drop pod on a planet WITHOUT an engine or parachute. The idea is to use aero brakes or large craft to slow down and land without any help. Rules: -Stock Parts -Planet must have an atmosphere -No parachutes -No engines -No planes/gliders (drop POD, not PLANE!) -Hyperedit allowed for orbit, not landing. Win Condition: -Someone survived the landing Note: Ejecting (EVA) or having parts explode is O.K. If you succeed, be sure to post a picture of your pod, and tell us where you landed it. (Viable options are Kerbin, Laythe, Eve, and Duna) Example: http://imgur.com/a/CzVeY Landed at Kerbin at roughly ~19.6m/s
  7. Try adding this for space themes. Metro Rock Remix makes for less boring orbital manuevaring.
  8. As of 0.90, only one planetary object is loaded (collision-wise) at a time. If you HyperEdit the Mun to be just above the launch pad, you will usually not collide with it. Note: I say usually because the game is rather inconsistent. TL;DR No interplanetary bridges without mods.
  9. Oh man, idea. What if we put a fairing INSIDE a fairing? Kraken bait?
  10. So, everyone has pretty sane ideas about part usage (excluding the fingernails.) Anyone going to use the fuel cells for anything?
  11. Knowing Squad, it seems like a safe bet that the orange radials behave the same as the orange nose chutes. If you mean 1.0 aerodynamics-wise, it should still be less stressful than blue radial parachutes in the souposphere.
  12. "Only 89 parts" Challenge Accepted.
  13. With the release of 1.0 rumoured to only be a few days away, it begs the question of how we'll USE the new parts in a more kerbal manner. In example: the new radial orange chutes will be nice for landing large aircraft, and the utility bays seem kerbal storage-friendly enough. I believe Maxmaps mentioned Xenon getting a buff in the screenshot Squadcast, so perhaps sail boats and solar gliders can become easier? Ideas?
