  1. Never met anybody randomly in the wild, but I do rep KSP.
  2. I restart my mission if a kerbal dies. I just don't have the heart to kill them. I don't send them out without a way to get home or if I have to, I rescue them. Those ones who need rescuing in the career mode contracts though.... I try to get them if I can, but hey, I didn't launch you out there buddy.
  3. It would be cool if they could really render a galaxy, and as your program advanced you could get farther and farther, endless exploration. You could visit the black hole in the center, etc. Try to find neutron stars, pulsars or whatever. I'm not sure how that could be done from a processing standpoint. Maybe graphically render the galaxy, but only have a limited number of star systems that are visitable.
  4. Definitely count me in for this one too. I do it all the time. That reminds me, how cool would it be to have a recording system in KSP where you really could do that? Like it would record all the physics, and a viewer could rotate and switch cameras while it plays back.
  5. If we are talking fully stock, I say 1.0. If we are talking about with mods, .90 with Deadly Re-entry and Ferram I started in .90, so I missed out on all the earlier versions. I hear there was a lot of fun to be had.
  6. Applying this fix, and then adding the new RealChutes mod, has drastically increased my enjoyment of the re-entry aspect of 1.0. Re-entry is fun again!
  7. I like MechJeb because you can use it when you want, and not use it when you don't want to. I love hand flying my own launches and training to nail trajectories and maneuver nodes and such. But when I was playing RemoteTech in .90 and had to launch a bunch of cam sats, it was nice to be able to just just auto launch a few of them, since it started to get tedious. If I only want flight/craft info, I actually prefer Kerbal Engineer. One thing that was a bit disconcerting in a way was that, in 1.0, apparently ALL of the mechjeb abilities seem to be available right away and I've only got the first couple notes unlocked. Not sure if that is temporary or what. I always like the MechJeb progression. You are rewarded with less tedium as you advance.
  8. KSP is way too awesome of a game to let these issues scare me off. Everything will get fixed, and it probably won't be long. Honestly, since the manual fix is out for the heatshields, the only thing that is totally broken right now as far as I'm concerned is the parachute. I can just pretend those working by only deploying them after re-entry heat is over with, since by then I know I made it anyway. I do think that 1.1 will be more like the version we've all been excited for. I can only imagine how much work went into a game like KSP, and I'd be hard pressed to think of a game I enjoy more than this one. Not everything is always exactly the way we like it. Rock on, Squad!
