  1. A doodle I did one or two weeks ago during Latin class. Nothing too fancy, just a city on the back of a huge camel beside an even more gigantic palm tree.
  2. Probably the Dawn or O-10 Puff. I don't use the Dawn because I haven't done serious interplanetary missions before my current career, and I have yet to research ion stuff in my current career. Also I have RLA stockalike installed, which renders the Puff pretty much useless since it adds better monoprop engines with higher ISP. Only reason I might use it is that it has higher thrust than RLA engines.
  3. I will definetly try to difine definetely while also misspelling difinitly in the most undefenite ways.
  4. Well, I'm going to Saas Fee tomorrow (Skiing holidays ) and I decided to finish a planned rescue mission today since I can't take my gaming rig with me. The contract included rescuing a guy from the surface of Minmus and bring back his craft to Kerbin. I launched a craft I designed especially for this task, The Squid Retrieval Device, to Minmus. Sadly I don't have any shots of the landing Ascent went nominal, just lost two fins on the first stage due to booster separation Here it is after grabbing the cabin, ascending and circularizing. As I said I didn't take any pics because I was really concentrating when I grabbed the cabin. Luckily I'm quite good at precision landings (I landed the squid right next to the cabin before grabbing it, without landing legs!) I was worried about reentry into Kerbin's atmosphere because the cabin could stick out behind the heatshied and get destroyed, killing the Kerbal inside. But it went really smoothly, the attitude holding buttons really helped me. It landed in a desert near a cactus. Greetings from Kerbins deserts! The entire mission took 34 Kerbin days. That's a lot for a Minmus mission. Its partially the retriever designs fault since the thrust of the engines would collide with the cabin, reducing its DV and TWR. But it certainly was fun!
  5. Well, I speak Russian as mother tongue (I'm Ukrainian but my father can't speak it very well so we stick to Russian) and can read cyrillic with some trouble, but I can't write in Russian. Then I know German since I live in Switzerland, and a little bit of French from French class. Also I know Latin, but you can't really speak that since its a dead language My English is really good for someone living in Switzerland, most people's English here is really basic school English. Sadly I don't get to speak English very often That's quite a lot of languages I know. I get confused sometimes and want to say something in another language, leading to some funny sounding mishaps...
  6. Gave me a good laugh! Also you nailed it with that choice of music
  7. It looks like I have a rep-to-post-ratio of one to one today :D Exactly 251 rep and 251 posts.

  8. I think those are Flea boosters, or maybe even Hammers.
  9. That's what I'd call a "Korolev's Star"
  10. In Koviet Krussia, Mun lands on you
  11. Well, the past three days I've been doing a bunch of operations in Duna orbit. I decided to aerocapture the SpaceYak to save some fuel. I first went for a highly inclined orbit so I could deploy the glider drones, afterwards I performed an aerobrake to get the Yak into a circular orbit. I would've had enough fuel left to get back to Kerbin even with a standard capture burn, but aerocaptures are just more awesome Here's one of the two glider probes flying above Duna. Actually they're not really gliders since they do have an engine for powered flight, but who cares? I brought them for a survey contract. One of the drones ran out of fuel after the first survey area so I had to glide it to the next one. You can glide pretty well on Duna if you have enough wing area and altitude. After that I finally landed the Dustcalf on Duna. I've been playing KSP for three years now, but this if my first ever manned Duna landing I also assembled a small rover using KIS, just for the sake of driving around the lander... The ascent and rendezvous went smoothly, I still had 200m/s in the lander's last stage before docking with the station. Now, I planned to let the crew stay in orbit of Duna for 1y 150d (that's when the transfer window pops up). Because of the aerobraking maneuver, I saved a lot of DV. The ship has 1500m/s in total, an efficient Duna -> Kerbin transfer would take 700m/s without a capture burn at Kerbin, wich I'm not planning to do. The SpaceYak will burn up in the atmosphere, while the lander's capsule will return to Kerbin. It will be quite a hot reentry so I might as well slap some bacon on the capsule So, plan change: instead of waiting those 1y and 150d for the transfer window, I'm gonna use the excess fuel to just kick in the back door. Screw transfer windows! @regex Your Duna ships look really cool!
  12. That's simple. A thief. If you don't know, pocket thiefs are extremely skilled at what they're doing. You won't even realize someone stealing your stuff. But you did get the money paid back (kinda) so I wouldn't worry about it too much
  13. @transitbiker Problem is, there are only 2 I think spaces for track left at Paradise station, so I don't think your plan will work, sorry. Still I do not like the idea of having to go to Paradise first and possibly go back the direction you came on another track. We need to do a vote on this, my proposal for the track is to instead of making one hub station, use already existing lines and stations for new lines going off of them. That'll also save a ton of track and resources.
  14. I think its already tied in and working. The bigger problems are in fact that the station is broken (again) @Fluburtur and that the rail line that goes from Paradise to Port town is really inefficient. If you want to go from Sanct to Port Town, you have to go all the way to Paradise first and then waste time riding back there since Sanctuary is closer to Port Town than Paradise. You can even reach Port Town by foot (and with some ender pearls) from Sanctuary rather quickly. EDIT: If you don't mind, I can make a scenic route to Port Town from Paradise since the terrain there is quite beautiful actually.
  15. @The Raging Sandwich You mean the space shuttle? Yup, awesome! Sorry, I've been absent for a little
  16. @transitbiker I'm confused about the tram line... will it be monorail style or underground? I would prefer monorail since a lot of people have basements in Sanctuary so the ground is like a swiss cheese. Also it would look a lot cooler! I already have made a compact station design We can use. Now, how are we gonna lay it out? I'm thinking of an inner main loop that connects to the town center and arms going off to more distant places and then back into the loop. It'll be easy to make the selector thingy since we'll only have one way traffic.
  17. I remember coming up with a design for a Duna transfer ship long ago. But I never used it since I got distracted or lost interest.
  18. You can have some of my food if you want. Or go to the Dirty Pony Inn, there's food for dirt cheap prices there
  19. I might do the tram if someone supplies me with the rails. Do we want it to be a monorail or underground line?
  20. @max_creative We can both work on them. Currently I can make a really compact floor by floor up and down slime elevator, but you can make one with selectable floors!
