Rover Not Moving on Kerbin
rollo1002 replied to rollo1002's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
No I have four of the http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/TR-2L_Ruggedized_Vehicular_Wheel on the rover. -
KSP Version 1.0.5 Mods: Kerbal Engineer Issue: I built and launched a rover from the SPH and it's not moving. The wheels are spinning and rotating but no movement. Visually, the rover wheels are sitting about 1/4 of the way into the ground.

Version 1.0.5 Mods: Kerbal Engineer Issue: I took on a new contract that told me to change the orbit of my station that was in space. I switched to the station and it was nothing but a capsule. The entire station is gone.

I am having a difficult time getting two ships to intersect in outside orbits of Kerbin or other planets. Scenario: I have a satellite being sent to Ike and well it ran out of fuel. So I'm trying to meet up with this satellite to give it more fuel so it can continue on it's mission but I can't get an intersect to get closer then let's say 8km or 9km from each other in the outer orbit of Kerbin. Is it even possible to do what I'm doing? I almost feel that you have to be in orbit of a planet or moon to make the intersects occur. EDIT::: Great! Thanks for all of the responses!

I'm all stock for contract stuff. It seems to have not occurred as drastically recently. A few contracts that I've recently cleared were one of the building a station on the moon with 2,000 units of fuel and the taking seismic measurements on the surface of minus. It also could be related to the number of contracts but I can't confirm this as I'm still getting a little delay but have not experienced it where the system message presents itself.
-
I've had this problem since the latest updates where after hovering over the contracts 1. Hover over contracts button upper right of screen. 2. Game Lags / may become unresponsive "blue circle may appear" 3. Game becomes unresponsive and may display windows unresponsive message. 4. Clicking "Wait for Program to Respond" resolves the issue. Crash when reverting flight
rollo1002 replied to ferdkuh's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
I'm having the same issues sent in numerous crash files to support today. I've even removed Kerbal Engineering and it still occurs. So essentially unmodded and the issue repeats itself. -
Space Planes and Thrusts have they changed?
rollo1002 replied to rollo1002's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Thanks for the responses. I'm going to assume that he was on 1.0.1 or 1.0.2 because the video was released in early June which would fit that timeline. -
1. Click the root part node change (along the top of the screen looks like a z) or press 4 on the keyboard 2. Click the group of parts and they will turn blue. 3. Click on the part that you want to be the root node it will start moving around. One thing to note you have to have more then one part connected in order for this to work.

So I watched this Scott Manley video and copied his design for a space plane. The only thing is my space plane does not accelerate like his in the video and at a 30 deg incline my plane is lucky to get over 160 m/s and will actually stall out well before I get up to 10k meters in altitude. I'm lucky to get 5k meters. Has there been a change that is causing this? I'm just baffled on what's wrong. Any suggestions or insight?

With the station contracts can you just add on to a station that's already in flight? or do I need to build one completely from scratch? Example I have a station in space that I placed additional docking ports to for future growth it has something like enough to house 6 kerbals. My new contract says make a station that can have 9 kerbals. [the question] If I fly additional modules up and dock to the old station will the contract be complete?

So with all of the science I made after a successful Minmus landing and return I decided to go on and try my luck with a little flight time in planes. Also, I accepted a measure temperature contract that as been in the way for a while now so decided to try and knock some of those out too. While doing my tests flights, I noticed how nervous Bob was and how happy Jebediah is in the situation. I really don't think Bob is in the right business I mean the plane was flying fine.
-
It was first landing on Minmus for me and after many struggles with Mun landings can't believe how easy this was.

OK so I put the BZ-52 radial attachment point on a science center that I sent to Mun thinking if I needed to add anything I'd be ready. Well as usual with kids about I got distracted and forgot to put on an antenna on. So began the numerous launches of rovers and items to get something to connect to the Radial Attachment Point. No luck with attaching anything yet so my question is does anything attach to this on the surface of planets? If not what's if for? http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/BZ-52_Radial_Attachment_Point

Question about docking ports
rollo1002 replied to rollo1002's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Thanks -
Do they have to be the same size to connect? or should a JR. Docking Port be able to connect to the larger one?
-
This was on the official KSP twitch channel and after looking at the video on the mode you posted it was this that he was using.
-
I watched stream a week or so ago and the stream was able to tuck away some arms on his space station by using some kind of hinge module. I can't seem to find it can anyone point me where the module is or how this is done?
