  1. They dont do that in real life they use automated computers, and btw i use mechjeb because i cba to spend about 5 mins making an orbit which i know i already can make without Mechjeb, so i use Mechjeb because i want to go do other things whilst my rocket gets into an orbit.
  2. Well its kinda not your wing design since this has already been made in real life or to a certain degree. So you stole the inspiration from RL and he stole it from you. Its a no win situation . Best leave it be.
  3. Could you try to implement a better landing ability for this Train? I land and always lose about 20-30% of my engins.
  4. I just added a final stage with a parachute attached to the rear vertical stabilizer, which lets the orbiter make it safely back to Kerbin.
  5. Unfortunatly All of the rockets are required, the orbit stage is ment to be able to take the shuttle to high orbits in V1. In V2 Its ment to take the shuttle to minimus + mun and have enough fuel to return to Kerbin. So unfortunatly No this is not the most practical design and i dont spend ages with mathmatical equations to make it work perfectly, and anyhow. If the rocket isnt efficient that makes it as Kerbal as possible in the thought of. If we cant lift the payload due to its weight. WE ADD MORE ROCKETS!
  6. I understand the Search box must be an extremely difficult thing to use... : Here let me do the work for you:http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=14699.msg222061#msg222061 Pictures and video are provided.
  7. I request my ships be added, Kerbin Hope.craft (version 1) Is able to achieve 100km orbit above kerbin and rescue other ships/perform movements in orbit and land on runway. Kerbin HopeV2.craft (version 2) Is able to orbit kerbin, perform rescue missions, burn to high orbit. Land on Minimus and mun and return to kerbin and land on runway. (Possible to land on both minimus and mun in one mission.
  8. Also guys make sure you wait a few seconds at launch of V2 to let the physics settle, ive had some cases where the engins tend to break off but aslong as you wait for about 10 seconds until the shuttle settles you should be fine .
  9. Strange that your rocket has such little fuel and is able to reach other celestial bodies, is there a launch stage?
  10. To be quite honest its not difficult to fly with the keyboard, although abit fidderly it automaticly stabalises on Prograde (direction you are heading) so just to fly in a strait direction such as forward along the horizon all you need to do is move the prograde to the horizon. And with version 2 the ASAS makes it ALOT more stable.
  11. Thank you for the responce guys . And yes i flew the shuttle/plane when returning to kerbin but used Mechjeb for the majority of the flight. As for Version 2 of KerbinHope I\'ve run into a few snags and am attempting to improve the shuttles design and reduce the ammount of components to reduce user lag.
  12. Hey guys, i made this space shuttle which is pretty nifty, it features a 8 rocket launch stage to enter you into kerbin orbit with a fair ammount of spair fuel. The second stage features 2 Orbital rockets which can be used to do orbit movements and transfers as well as a re-entry to kerbin. The third stage consists of 3 fuel tanks and a Turbo Jet Engin which is capable of traveling long distances, also as a bonus a fuel line between the 2nd and 3rd stage allows you to add extra fuel to your 2nd stage orbit rockets incase you run out or wish to reach higher orbits. My shuttle also has RCS thrusters and a Grabber feature at the front of the shuttle to allow rescue missions. This Space shuttle is best flown with Mechjeb linked here: http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=14066.0 Mechjeb is not required although it makes flying extremely more simple and is more useful during flying in the 3rd stage with Kill Rotate, but the plane aspect of KerbinHope is extremely stable even without Mechjeb/ASAS. P.S: On landing make sure you dont pull up too much and keep the throttle at around 20-30% otherwise you may hit the engin off the runway. Happy flying ! Video of KerbinHope is here! Follow the link for preview flight of KerbinHope V1: Version 2 Currently is released... Version 2 features: More fuel for 2nd stage (5 more fuel tanks) ASAS for more stable controle. Ability to land on Minimus or Mun. ***Please post comments if there are any problems or errors with Version 2 and i will try to fix them ASAP*** *Recommended Flight instructions for KerbinHopeV2 Below!!!* Recommended Flight instructions for KerbinHopeV2 Stage 6 of KerbinHope is the Launch stage to enter you into orbit with enough fuel to possibly achieve a 100km orbit. Stage 5 of KerbinHope is to eject secondary launch stage rockets. Stage 4 of KerbinHope is to eject main launch stage rockets, pressing G afterwards to deploy landing gear placed on Orbit stage to prevent any parts from getting stuck and damaging the Orbiter stage. Stage 3 of KerbinHope is to initiate Orbit Stage Ignition. Stage 2 of KerbinHope is to Eject Spare Orbiter stage Fuel tanks located on the far sides of the orbiter stage, a recommendation of mine is to disable the fuel from the top 3 fuel tanks on the main orbiter stage and to use the fuel from the spare orbiter tanks first. The orbiter stage also drains fuel from the shuttle stage so i would disable the fuel tank near the engin and the cockpit but leaving the one in the centre as a backup fuel supply for the orbiter stage. Stage 1 of KerbinHope is to Eject Orbiter stage and to Initate Engin start up of Shuttle Earth flight stage.
