  1. Completed my first test flight of my new 225 m tall , 42 000 ton rocket .
  2. finished and uploaded my ultra high-speed flyby of Eeloo (79 km/s). Wernher von Kermans dream of sending a Kerbal to the stars finally came true .
  3. Was testing the stability of my new huge, complex payload by flying horizontally trough the lower atmosphere , when this happened. Best 1 stage separation ever ! The rocket didnt get a scratch !
  4. With careful placement of struts and fuel tanks in a very specific order i managed to reduce the total part count to 690, but it still lags horribly on my old 2,66 GHz i5 (about 2 fps). I think the strut count is around 90 , luckily they are almost infinitly strong when placed correctly ! I launched manually without any physics tweaks or any mods , luckily the rocket is surprisingly stable and reliable, the launch took almost an hour though ... I got a gtx 660 , so it shouldnt lag this much , maybe im running out of memory ? (i got 8 GB)
  5. The new areodynamics came as a surprice to me , i would definitively dropped the fairing later had i known . The rocket is hollow , all the struts and fuel lines are mounted inside around a spine of kerbodyne tanks .
  6. For the large scale industrialization of the Kerbin system , the Kerbal space agency needed refueling stations of several thousand tons in low Kerbin orbit . The sensible way would be to use a string of efficient , easy to control and moderately large rockets to achieve this , but the Kerbal way is to send it all IN ONE GO ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koM-CKLwzJY The rocket is hollow , all the fuel lines and struts are mounted inside around a central spine of kerbodyne tanks . The idea behind the rocket is to let the 2nd and 3rd stage help out to lift the monster of the ground , it also helps to reduce structural stress since all the stages basically lifts them selves . the third stage is cross fuel fed from the 2nd stage so its topped up with fuel when its released . I managed to reduce parts count to 690 with careful placements of struts and kerbodyne tanks , but it still launched at 2 fps on my mediocre computer ! I also noticed that there still was some fuel left in the second stage at separation so with a little adjustment even more fuel could be sent out to our brave Kerbonauts . PS : The new aerodynamics came as a surprise to me ,I would defintively dropped the fairing later had i known .
  7. Nice job getting a encounter back to kerbin so easily, I struggled for over an hour to do the same ! thats one trip I wont do again. how did you get gold parts by the way ?
  8. my new rocket on the launchpad . Its so tall i had to slant the view to get a proper picture of it ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koM-CKLwzJY
  9. Finally getting out of Eves atmosphere and back to Kerbin !
  10. I finally managed to launch , record and send to youtube my 36 000 ton orbital super tanker - The mountain king
  11. Hello there ! Kerbal have consumed my life this 2 past months , after a friend recomended it to me . Thought i would take a break from KSP to post some of my works and maybe get some new ideas .
