Does anyone have any clue what could be causing this? The rocket is stable and flies straight, and there are multiple stages that detach. I'm at a loss. It can fly up to maybe 30k-40k. I might post a screenshot in the morning if that helps. Is it possible my game could be bugged from a mod? I don't have anything that affects the atmosphere, aerodynamics or how rockets fly...

I used to be able to play ksp with barely any struggle. Now I can't design a rocket that won't flip before leaving the atmosphere, I have been trying for days. I've put lots of tail fins at the bottom of my rockets, I'm using plenty of gimbal engines, and SAS from my pilot. I don't have reaction wheels unlocked yet, or RCS thrusters. I have no clue what to do. I've tried to design expensive complicated rockets to solve the problem, and I've also tried very simplistic rockets but nothing seems to work. I have mods enabled, but nothing that changes the atmosphere or aerodynamics... I even make sure that the rocket isn't travelling too fast as to limit air resistance. I don't even try a gravity turn, even when flying perfectly straight up it finds a way to start flipping. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Every time I start up CKAN I keep getting the message "Failed to connect to repository. Exception: Object reference not set to an instance of an object." It also says that there are 0 compatible mods that I can get. Anyone know how to fix this? And sorry if this isn't the right place to post this. I'm trying to get this to work for the latest 64 bit version of KSP. Any help would be great, thanks.

So I've landed on the Mun, I'm low on fuel, and the only way I can get back to Kerbin is to get a very low periapsis. It will probably have to be 500km or less. Not eight million like I've been getting. How can I escape the Muns gravity, and get a low Kerbin Periapsis at the same time? Is 142 liquid fuel even enough to make it home?

Do you think this can make it to Duna?

I added another module to balance the station, and it flies well now. Hopefully I can get this thing to Duna. Thanks for all of the help. Also, is there no way to make kerbals stay still while controlling another kerbal on eva? -

I could get my engineer to move the location of the engines, but the tricky part is that I need 3 kerbals to move the big atomic engine. I have 3 out there in eva right now, but they keep floating away slowly. Any way to keep the other two Kerbals still while my engineer works? EDIT: So, through the great work of my engineer, the engines have been adjusted, and it's now flying much better. Quick question though... If the burn will take 30 minutes, when should I start the burn? When it tells me to? Or should I do it beforehand? -

The most I can throttle up to is like 15%... Is that even worth it? -

Okay... one last thing. Whenever I try to throttle up, the space station turns to the right, and I can't seem to stop it. Is there a way to fix this? Or am I screwed? -

That's not a bad idea, I'll probably do that. Thanks for all of the help. You're right about the whole margin of error thing. I don't even know if my drop pod can land two kerbals safely on Duna, then launch them back up to rendezvous with the space station. This whole thing is exciting and stressful at the same time. I'm guessing there's gonna be about a 70% chance something goes wrong, and I'll need to send a rescue mission. Wish me luck! -

So, I just quickly set up a node to see how much dV it would cost and how long it would take it to get there. Do these numbers sound right? 1345m/s of dV, and I would arrive there in 152 days. Do both of these numbers sound reasonable to you? Also, would it be possible for the space station to get back to Kerbin's orbit? -

Ohh, I didn't know that's how you look at it. I was just going to send an engineer up there, so a mod would pull up all of the info on the station. It's 86.98t. -

The hockey puck will be gone by the time the Atomic Engines fire. Also, I'm not sure what the mass is. I'll know when I get the crew up there. Without knowing the mass, if you had to guess, could it make it? -
But the connection between my rover and Kerbin is a yellow line. My Duna Satellite has a green connection line with Kerbin for some reason, even though they use the same antenna. I don't really understand this. Does the atmosphere affect the transmissions? EDIT: Also, do you know any way to transmit data from Duna, to my Kerbin Space Station? I want my station to research the Duna data, if at all possible.
-
Basically, I like AR because it's simple, and makes it so there is a range for all of the antennas. But what I don't like is how my duna rover is sending data straight back to kerbin (very slowly) when, what I want it to do, is send the data to my Duna Satellite, which would then send it back to Kerbin. Do you have any idea how to accomplish this? I also want to be able to send data to my space station.

Ah okay. That makes sense. Thanks for the reply. So would it be normal for me to just speed up time for a year or so until I get into the right window? Is that what most people do? To me that feels weird, like my space program has just been sitting there doing nothing for a year.
-
What's a Hohmann transfer?
-
It it possible to get to Duna if it's behind Kerbin? Or do I have to wait an entire year for it to be in the correct position again? What are some good ways to get there in a timely manner?
-
No actually, I think it's good. I probably was worrying over nothing. It's not a big enough change to effect anything, anytime soon.
-
@Beniot Hage I have like 45 mods or something
-
@HebaruSan it's changing about about 1m every 2-3 seconds. I haven't watched it for too long yet. I'm kind of just hoping/assuming it will stay somewhere around 100km over time.

So I'm making my first space station, and I'm in orbit around Kerbin at 100km apoapsis and periapsis. The problem is that they both are slowly falling for no reason whatsoever. I have no thrusters or engines on board, so it shouldn't be changing. Is this anything to be concerned about? Any help would be greatly appreciated. EDIT: I noticed that when I timewarp, it stops changing. Also, when I get to the periapsis, it rises, and the apoapsis drops. And when I get to the apoapsis, it rises, and the periapsis drops.
