Very good point. I've never reached Laythe, but knowlege of its oceans also could benefit from such scientific upgrades.

If the developers of Kerbal Space Program would hear my request, perhaps, in a future update, parts could be added allowing closer examination of liquid surface samples, such as from Kerbin's oceans? Of course, this would require the ability to land on liquid planetary surfaces, so could parts allowing amphibious rovers or aquatic landing gear for aircraft potentially be added?
