Is there a way to save the career progress (money, science, contracts... NOT just ships and VAB) ? I would think on Steam this is potentially possible.

I have literally been bouncing a small nosecone on top of a core off my klaw on a rescue ship for hours. I quick saved a straight shot to the stranded ship and the klaw will not connect even with a perfect alignment. It just bounces right off going 1 ms. Can the klaw grab a nose cone? I am beyond frustrated haha.
