Thanks! Lowering the tilt of the wings and limiting the authority of the vertical stabilizers has fixed all the stability issues. -
I've had the game for about a year, I've really only gotten good in the past 6 months. I'm trying to build a fighter, loosely based on a F/A-xx, and it flies well, until I yaw. I recorded what happens. Can someone tell me whats going on and how to fix it? Craft file if needed: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0k4mqYF2VKxMF9MdXFnTWR6Sk0/view

[STOCK] Blue Origin New Glenn
__Ultimatum replied to __Ultimatum's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Ill post one once I get home on Sunday night. Totally forgot about it halfway through posting. -
I started this before they posted the actual fight animation, so I only had the reference images from Wikipedia. The fins at the top do not rotate, like the video, because none of the fins in the stock game look like them. It has fully functional landing legs, but it does not have the correct number of engines. http://imgur.com/a/nyDXl Action groups: 1: Toggle RCS 2: Landing Mode (Turns off half the engines) 3: Toggle all engines. Hope you enjoy!

I have been working on a Blue Origin New Glenn rocket. It is still in need of it's new fins along the side. I built it before the video was released this morning. -
I really never tested it landing, I failed at reentry once and then posted it. 742 parts
-
Okay, ill update it with a google drive link.
-
Are there any other sites than kerbalx? It takes hours to load it since i'm using a wifi hotspot.

The W.A.T.F. Mk2 (meaning still pending) is a super shuttle, capable of carrying as much cargo as the trust to weight ratio can hold. With it's 71 vector engines, it'll be sure to lag your game. This thing was not designed with practicality in mind, just to be a huge shuttle, that I probably will never use. This is not for the lower end computers, I have a decent desktop, and I only get around 5 fps. Pictures: Download? https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0k4mqYF2VKxdmFIVW1wQ2syNVE/view

Yeah, the wing design didn't end up working, the center of lift was pointing at a 45 degree angle downwards when I was finished and it was overly bulky and part heavy, so I started again!. I'm back to the body and a sleek fin design curving around the engine cells, what I need is suggestions as to what sort of wing design would work well with the theme. -

"Cherubim" MKI Fastest plane on Kerbin?
__Ultimatum replied to huggy's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Why did you reply to a 3 year old thread? -
Nah, the thing is so large SRBs will only make a small difference and decoupling them would also be a pain. This thing isn't really about efficency anyways.
-
Also be careful, the engine nacelles have a habit of spontaneous destination.
-
Sure! (These will be of the cargo bay version)
-
The mighty W.A.T.F. (Meaning unknown, open to suggestions) is the largest shuttle I've ever built. It currently has a cargo capacity of 0 tons, because I designed it without cargo bays. (Will be added some time in the future) It has a grand total of 22 vector engines, but it still has a low thrust to weight ratio. (Due to a slight miscalculation of me using the vacuum thrust instead of the ASL.) It is capable to making it to orbit and landing, but re entry is very shaky. I have never landed it on the runway (because I'm terrible at runway landings), however, landed in water up to 60 meters a second with only minor damage. Will post craft file and cargo version soon. -EDIT #1- The cargo version flies very well on its own. Craft files: - Cargo bay: http://www.mediafire.com/file/s5fp45adia5jejg/watf+with+cargo+bays.craft - Without Cargo Bay http://www.mediafire.com/file/cnezo5rtoln5hl9/watf.craft
