Hey arrowstar, new KSP TOT user here. may I ask you two questions? 1) suppose I want to fire the engines in a prograde direction, but I don't want to use the "instant dv" action but rather set the throttle to 100% and wait for x seconds before shutting it off. What kind of steering action am I supposed to use to just say "point prograde"? 2) I have somehow managed to put my ship from the KSC all the way into orbit by following your pdf tutorial for the lvd. I needed that specific orbital parameters and that 's why I need to freeze all the variables before proceeding to optimize the next section of the mission. However, if I disable the optimization in one or more events (eg: they all have two ** in the name) and I optimize the rest of the mission, my entire launch profile screws up (yeah from stage one) because my variables gets modified anyway. Am I forgetting something? Thank you very much in advance!

[1.2.x/1.3.x/1.4.x] SaturnV v1.0.3 d16.07.18
Zuppermati replied to DECQ's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
No you misunderstood: the only thing that doesn't work in the STOCK version (and in RO as well) is the RCS translation (rotates fine) in the LEM. The rest is RO specific. -
[1.2.x/1.3.x/1.4.x] SaturnV v1.0.3 d16.07.18
Zuppermati replied to DECQ's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Did some quick tests. The only real issue is that the CM RCS just won't work at all. Also for some reason the LM landing legs just starts deployed no matter how hard you try and you have to retract them ingame (and it works only if the electricity in the lem descent stage works). Same for the CM-SM umbilical. Other than that might I ask you why you removed the J-mission lm descent stage (it's just a copy paste of the cfg from the h missions after all) and the S-IVB-LM interstage separator? BTW almost forgot: even without RO, the translation (h and n keys) in the lunar module RCS just never worked. Couldn't find a fix in the .cfg. Do you guys know why? -

In the name of every loyal RSS player I deeply thank you. Glory to DECQ god of 3d modeling of real rockets BTW if my last exam for this summer session goes well I wont have to study all august and I'll be more than happy to write the ro configs (but till the 16 i'm gonna be grounded for my exams) -
Saturn V (Reincarnation). Release in last page
Zuppermati replied to DECQ's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Why such a low consideration of your own mods? I look at it and i see the most amazingly looking Saturn V mod ever made. The only one getting textures and small details such as pipes and other 100% correctly -

Btw in case anyone is wondering: here at this page https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/95407-saturn-v-by-decq-version-11/ you can download the older version of this mod which works almost fine as of 1.3.1 with ro. It does not have a csm or lem but it comes with working RO configs. The only issues are that the F1 have no sound or smoke (but they works just fine anyway) and, most importantly, the interstages' colliders are just screwed up. I highly suggest you to use FASA interstages instead and tweak them a bit to avoid kraken. You'll need FASA anyway to use it with a csm/lem. Sent me to the moon and back just fine. -
Quick question: why when I set the argument of periapsis in the initial state and I close, when I reopen it the value returns 0 and the true anomaly gets set to the value I set for the argument of pe?

Saturn V (Reincarnation). Release in last page
Zuppermati replied to DECQ's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Absolutely no offense to bluedog (which I do use since fasa is getting broekener and broekener) but as bluedog himself said his saturn v, as well as the entire package, is more of a "stockalike" version of the saturn v which has nothing wrong with it if someone likes the style; simply some users like me wanted something closer to the real one in terms of look. -

Take your time. Still I'd suggest you to don't release an RO config alongside it to save some time. I'm sure that many experienced players would be glad to do them for you (I'd do them myself if it wasn't for university exams ) -

[1.12] KSP-RO - Realism Overhaul [16 May 2022]
Zuppermati replied to Theysen's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Now i don't want to start a flame war so I'll answer once to make all clear and let's stop here. Then moderators then can do whatever they want with my message. You totally misunderstood what I was trying to say (and I thought I made it pretty clear). If I meant such arrogant things I would be spitting in my own face too since I made the RO configs for both DECQ's SLS and tiktaalik's MEM. All I was asking about was simply what happened to him. Not because I feel that he must work 25/8 to ksp but because after RSS for 1.2 I noticed he went totally silent and when you are a very active figure in the realism mods suite and often give the community loads of status updates it kinda gets noticed. All I wanted to know was simply if anyone knew *why* he disappeared. For what I knew something bad could've happened to him and simply nobody noticed it. I simply missed that he leaved after 1.2 and kerrigan told me that with 2 rows, thing that you didn't in 5. Also (since that's what upsets me) please quote me the exact portion of my message where I asked for the status mod (which I know it's ready since I'm currently enjoying it). I just asked for how a person was doing. Personally I'm waiting for DECQ to finish some of his works since half a year and even through I would point a gun to him to get his awesome works I'm silently waiting and I never ever asked him anything because I know he has a life too. Dude you went mad without a reason.- 2,215 replies

[1.12] KSP-RO - Realism Overhaul [16 May 2022]
Zuppermati replied to Theysen's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Just out of curiosity: is nathankell dead or something? He was the guy who cared for most of the real-ish mods and surely knows the most about them and it seems like he simply disappeared. Of course I'm not saying it like "where the heck is he it's all coz he's lazy that I can't play RO on 1.2 yet" but did I miss something or did he just leave without a trace? That's kinda worrying- 2,215 replies

Did you try RCS build aid just to check the thrust vectors? -
SpaceLaunchSystem-Beta Version 0.3B (by DECQ)
Zuppermati replied to DECQ's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
It works fine with 1.1.3 so I think it works with 1.1.2 too. Anyway I'm working on some RO configurations. Core stage and ICPS done. Orion on the way. Will work on advanced upper stages and fairings as soon as I have the time. EDIT: done. Sent to the RO thread -
[WIP] North American Rockwell Mars Excursion Module

I've almost done an RO config with really accurate masses and fuels. Only the chutes and the deorbit engine left and a modulemanager bug -
Saturn V (Reincarnation). Release in last page
Zuppermati replied to DECQ's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
By the way i just came out (not so alive) from high school finals and now i'm free again (and probably for the rest of my life due to the current global economic situation) so, if university workload won't come earlier than expected, once RO comes out again for 1.1.3 i can write some configs if you want (note: i'm quite noob-ish with it but still better than anything (also i have the FASA configs XD)) -
You mean the landing leg glitch explosions on pad? From what i get, 1.1.3 fixed it, alongside many other nasty bugs. But you'd may want to check that out by yourself.

Pr0 tip: copy use as inspiration the FASA RO configs. They are pretty much accurate (but be careful if you split the components differently) -

So, if i wanted to put the swing arms into a better position for a saturn MLV (with the S-IC stretched and fins removed) it would be possible? I repeat: keep this going. It's one of the best thing in the modding world from a while.
