1. Sorry, should have clarified. I tried that first, followed your instructions strictly and just installed the core files without modifying anything, still couldn't get it working. I just tried it again, still no dice. Steps: Clean install KSP 1.0.5 Linux64 BuildID 01028, CKAN install of RO+RSS+Scatterer and recommended mods. Extract EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements folder from latest x86-EVE-Release.zip to GameData. Extract RVE and Scatterer folders from RVE-KSP-1.0.4-Linux64.zip to GameData. Ensure there's no BoulderCo cloud textures/configs present & don't replace sharedassets9.assets because of CTD's. This is the result when I run it. Can't access RVE's UI either. PC has 32GB of RAM so there's no memory issues. I've tried the config posted in the OP of the main Scatterer thread, then not extracting the Scatterer folder from RVE, and a bunch of other things that didn't work. My 1.0.4 install still runs flawlessly so it's fine, was just hoping to try some of those sweet new Scatterer waves.
 2. Yeah, I'm having trouble getting it to work with 1.0.5 as well, on Ubuntu with the Linux64 build. I've avoided installing 1.0.5 up until this point because I was waiting for RVE to be updated, I only tried because other people seem to be having success with it. Following the instructions on the OP, I used the latest x86-EVE-Release.zip from rbray's github + RVE Linux Branch + Scatterer with the modified RSS Earth+Mars settings for 1.0.5. Booting that up gives me no scatterer or RVE effects and RVE's settings menu doesn't appear when I use the hotkey. If I use the x86-Release.zip that pvnkb1tch linked to last page, RVE seems to function but Scatterer's shaders do not, I get the black sky/no atmos effects issue fallout2077 mentioned.
 3. I've been trying to fix my performance issues with Linux KSP on and off for months now. This thread finally provided the answer. I had massive FPS hits every time I panned the camera around or even moved the mouse too quickly. Turns out my mouse defaults and locks to a polling rate of 1000hz on Linux and changing the rate via usbhid does nothing. I grabbed a cheap mouse locked to 125hz and the FPS drops are finally gone. 4.
Very weird.. X64 was working fine... Now I am getting all my building fully upgrade but there not lol... Anyone know how to fix this?
Enter and exit SPH/VAB whenever this happens.
What I do to reset that is by going in to SPH or VAB and back out, gets reset every time I do that.

It may take a few tries, but change scenes until it 'downgrades' into the appropriate buildings. You can still use the buildings while they're "fully upgraded" but they cannot be upgraded until you bruteforce the bug to go away for a bit. It's only mildly annoying when you need to upgrade.
5. My bloated 1.0.4 RO w/EVE install would go over the memory limit and do the typical crash during building/scene transition every hour or so. Got sick of it. I tried a Ubuntu partition for that x64 Linux goodness and the framerate was terrible. Tried all kinds of settings and tweaks, tried other Linux flavors instead, couldn't get it to a tolerable rate on my rig. Then I tried this. Compared to my previous forays into official x64 Windows KSP prior to Squad cutting it (which was nightmarish), this experience has been a pleasant surprise. After applying this workaround and UnFixer, I haven't had a single crash with two solid days worth of play. And I've been able to chuck in all the memory intensive parts packs that I had to avoid before, without issue thus far. Which is freaking sweet. The only problem I've personally encountered is the buildings-appearing-fully-upgraded bug, minor when offset by the huge gains.
Stupid Unity stops downloading after 30-40 MB, every time
I had a similar issue, only it was every 200 or so megs that it would stop. I had to use a download manager which allows resuming (Getright) to grab it.
