Just tried those functions, working fine for me. What platform/browser are you using?

    Chrome 46.0.2490.86 (64-bit) on OSX 10.11.1

Of course as soon as I mentioned that it's working again. Might have just been bugged out for some reason or another. I'll try to reproduce it.

  2. It's probably already been mentioned, but I cannot move my cursor left or right in the editor. It goes up and down just fine, but not side to side. It also seems to break selecting text with the keyboard. For instance, selecting the last word or beginning/end of the line.

Can anyone explain why linking to thread doesn't work with just the thread id? It's a bit annoying to require the title as well.

I could understand, though, if it required the full title, but that isn't the case, it just seems to require one character after the thread id and dash.

    So this doesn't work:

    But this does:

    That seems absurd...

That's most likely because of the regex (pattern) that is being matched for the url structure is requiring that format. I'd bet that can be adjusted, but I'll also bet that it won't be because of SEO reasons. Having the title in there really shouldn't impact users so I'm not sure I see what the issue is with it.

I apologize if this was already answered--but I don't see any option for embedding YouTube videos. Will we cinematics makers now have to settle for links to the video?

According to the IPS website youtube links will automatically embed. Obligatory test with a Scott Manley video

Edit: Make sure you hit enter after the link so the editor creates the embed

First install version 1.8.9 of https://kerbalstuff.com/mod/424/ScienceAlert

Then replace the ScienceAlert.dll in your "Kerbal Space Program\GameData\ScienceAlert" folder, overwriting the existing file with the file from http://gamefaction.no/ScienceAlert-1.8.9-patch1.zip

The patch fixes the broken transitter bug. See the included source patch for details.

    Here you go

  6. Lots of trial and error after starting a new science game in 1.0.5. Been away for quite a while so I basically forgot everything I knew  Watched some Scott Manley videos and did the basic science grinding so I can get some actual rockets to fly. Did a Mun flyby to gather science and next up is a Mun landing which I'm bound to screw up 300 times before actually landing.

  7. While these things should have been handled pre-migration, I think they will be fixed up in the coming days and everything will settle down around here. If you've never done a large migration there are things that you miss every single time and it sucks, but they do get fixed in short order.

  8. @KasperVld

If nothing else, you should be able to modify that script of yours to handle incoming links and pipe them to the new link.

    For instance:
    http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/138640-Kopernicus-1-0-4-Toy-Solar-System-v1-0?p=2281374#post2281374

All you need is a url rewrite rule and have your script grab the thread id and then you can issue a 301 redirect to the new thread. If you want to get fancy you can even parse out the post number and convert that if even possible with IPS. At least this will get people to the correct thread.

I'm sure you know all this already though

I don't really understand the reason why all the links are broken..

The Migration FAQ of the Developer from IPS 4 states that the links will work:

So have the ID's of for the posts have been reset by accident or was there an incompatibility because the "old" system software was not fully supported for migration?

If the first is true: Wouldn't it be reasonable to run the migration process again to avoid these errors? (i know would mean a lot of additional overtime, but would calm the community) It's said that the 'old' forum is still accessible internally so one could migrate from that one.

If the second is true: Why did you came to the decision to migrate to a software where the migration process is not fully supported? I 'm sure there would have been other systems with support for that. (As this is one of the must-have for the decision of a migration to another system)

PS: Is it possible to add the ability to create tables in the posts again? Or is this not supported?

PPS: At least some kind of separetor (e.g. thin blue line) between multiple posts would be really helpful. Without it is quite hard to see where one post ends and another starts.

Not all versions of all forum software support the automatic redirecting of links.  I'm guessing that this was migrated from vBulletin 5.x which does not support the link redirecting. Click the vBulletin 5.x link on the left and it does not mention redirection like vBulletin 4.x does (top right of pop over). https://www.invisionpower.com/services/migrate
