Help me understand your configuration. What is the heat shield covering? Is the 909 engine exposed to the entry heating? I guess my primary question is how to land something with engines with the new heating rework. I was thinking of covering them with a heat shield until I got lower in the atmosphere. If MK1 pods are exploding without shields, how can engines survive with their lower max temperature tolerance.
