  1. Thx all for your kind help and good tips! =) I always have the problem if my rocket get's "longer" it's very difficult for me to navigate it. It often flips down if it's to long. So i try to kepp my rockets always as short as possible.
  2. Good to know but more weight to my heat shield is extremly difficult. My spacerocket looked kind of funny with that and not like sometthing you would see in the real world The last option sounds like the best for me. I don't want to be dependent of batteries. I had the idea of MK1-Pot - heatshield - decoupler- nose but the decoupler wasn't shooting away with the nose instead it stuck to my mk1-Pot-heatshield. Long story short: How do I place an upside-down decoupler?
  3. This is my Space-Travel ship to transport four people into an orbit. Works realy well but I have trouble to get that ship safe to the ground. Often it isn't just slowing down enough because it isn't coming back on the side with its heatshield, it's coming down with it's nose because SAS is running out of battery. I don't loose enough speed and I can't open the parachutes -> crash. Any suggestions? I'm early in the game. http://imgur.com/T2SrzYX
  4. Oh wow ! Thank you for this good and easy explanation! Works like a charm =)
  5. Hello! I'm in an 130 km orbit around Eve and my Kerbals want to travel home. But I can't manage to come back because every maneuver node I try to create is far away from Kerbin. So i found Launch Window Planner but it says something like: Departure Year 2, day 130 at 1:31:12 Arrival Year 2, day 334 at 2:18:00 Time of flight 204 days 0:46:48 Phase angle 51.80° Ejection angle 58° to prograde Ejection inclination 28.00° Ejection Δv 1,060 m/s Transfer periapsis 9,382 Mm Transfer apoapsis 13,376 Mm Transfer inclination 2.02° Transfer angle 224° Insertion inclination -18.84° Insertion Δv 626 m/s Total Δv 1,686 m/s I think there is a language gap because I don't understand how to use these information in the game. After that i used "Interactive illustrated interplanetary guide and calculator for KSP" which has at least two pictures. But even with that the closest i could come is like 775.000 kilometers. If i launch at year 2 day 130 like the first tool suggest the planets are at an complete other place like the pictures show in the second tool. Every help is really appreciated! Thx!
  6. Thx now i got it! The idea to put it on the same key as "cut throttle" is a nice idea
  7. Hello! I don't know if I pressed a wrong button but now i have to press "SLASH" (/) to stop time warp. Did this change because it was always "escape". Couldn't find it in the options to change it... Thx!
  8. Thx a lot guys for your nice replies! It worked! I used a bit of everything in this thread and now it was a huge succes. I'll use and test your diffrent technics in the normal game, where I can save and reload Thx a lot again!
  9. Hello I'm playing the training mission docking (rescue 2 stranded Kerbals). After docking and rescuing them I fly back to Kerbal but there is a big problem: The "Rescuer" ship has no heatshield. Is there any way to slow down or reducing the entryspeed? I tried to burn what is left of my fuel (retrogade at reentry) but I'm still to fast (parachutes get destroyed). My periapsis was 15km (I'm wondering if this is important???) Any tips? Thx a lot!
  10. Looking at the navball and prograde marker and turning off the SAS target function did it! Thx a lot you two! The whole family is on their way home!
  11. Hello astronauts! I manged to dock one time...and i feel that this was just luck I watched some videos but can't figure it out: What do I have to do at this point? I always drift to the left if i press "h" (RCS forward). Thx for help!
