  1. You're naughty too, because when I tell you how and you go right ahead and build it; you don't give me the credit I deserve, since I told you, didn't I? You know, master and servants! So let's wait with that ... Right now Scott Manley (I hope) is having "fun" with all those many "subscribers" in his brain .... showing the way ... Of course that's only my theory, no need to go come find ME to strangle that tiny giggle that came out a while ago while imagining it! But it's true, he might just do that if he could, and then I would have to "put on my sad face", because "he is master now", while to me we are people ... !
  2. You are really naughty, because you hold parties and play loud, all that noise bothers me, but you don't care! But ... you're right! Because the truth in this matter is subjective! So is it at all possible to make "Suggestion" to KSP?
  3. Is it important how kerbals are dressed, their dress code etc.? No and yes! Truth is not always objective logic; what a person feels is a subjective truth, that changes in time! And to many people tattoos, piercing rings etc are essential! When you check for example the newest space game X-Com 2 DLC they have punk hairstyles and a large character manager to change all that! People working in offices like NASA usually follow a dress code with tie, watch on the wrist, suit etc. So is it important? Is there a sensible reason to tattoos, piercing rings, chains and stuff? Can't figure out tattoos yet, perhaps it is to show "made in Hong Kong" or something. But piercing rings, heavy chains and all that bulldog stuff in general definitely have a reasoning: As the majority of people make a sexual dress up, imagine the time spent to get the correct hairstyle with shampoo, perfume ... and fingernails and matching colors to get attention all around - "This is the new Hit" Marilyn sings! What goes on in the human brain when truth is dominated by feeling beautiful? And that is exactly the reason to ugly piercing rings, black nobody, heavy chain burden etc. - they are fighting with temptation (in theory, can't promise a specific person)! So what about those folks who just walk in plain normal clothes, scientists, inventors and space pilots? They usually use reputation as make-up! Products and places take names after them, for example E = MC² (Einstein)! Those of them who fight temptation to self-admiration do otherwise: For example when a product tester find a bug in a computer program, the bug-report in feedback describes how to remake that error; thus they do not name the bug after themselves - they only describe the situation in which it was found/acknowledged! So C in E = MC² is the speed of light in vacuum? And Einstein helped build the A-bomb (http://greyfalcon.us/restored/ALBERT%20EINSTEIN.htm), he both declared himself pacifist and sent a personal letter to President Roosevelt urging him to build the super destructive weapon! What goes on in his human brain, "When I ... am a pacifist, if I say so regardless of my involvement in the mega-weapon!" That is why this simulated world is perfect!!! It is made for us imperfect beings, so what ever we do it only happens simulated! Yes, colors displaying mass in motion are simulated! Why is the grass green, why is the sky blue? All that matters are the difference in colors, because if they were the same, then there wouldn't be any forms to distinguish!! Yes, the grass might as well have been turkish and the sky brown, you see, it's just a simulation!! Or would you rather prefer, that us imperfect beings while evolving were able to annihilate each other in reality!!! So when it really hurts .. enjoy it ...
  4. Perhaps that can be soothed then! After years of experience with headache it is possible that some really good music can soothe the mind! It doesn't work on all kinds of headache though, and it wasn't clear whether the headache was mostly caused by tooth-pain, eye-strain or some kind of sexual tension. Still after taking more than limit for daily prescribed dose of pills for headache, and that still had no notably effect at all; surprisingly when putting on earphones (<- important) to get the stereo sound internal and listening to music at highest volume, it very quickly relieved the pain so it was gone after about 30-60 minutes. Guess it's quite important that the music is "liked" subjectively by you. Also it seemed that especially strings from guitar and synthesizer really touched the nerve and relieved it! ... broke more than one set of headphones by playing loud like that more times ... It was one of those situations that made an acknowledgement, this one of music that - when it is intelligent and liked - it can really be like a real treasure (compared to money)! Still even if feeling accompanies sound when hearing, it doesn't change the definition of energy as damage in reality, because it seems ridiculous that in order to achieve love, one has to get hurt! That's like "this song" ...
  5. Only way is to program laws for the kerbals who kill other kerbals! Why does one kerbal become pilot, why another engineer and so on? What is the motivation and background story for that? A story could for example be like this: After it happened that a kerbal killed another, the killer later came upon a beautiful song (Link) about being forever young in a simulated world, and found that killing didn't escape it, escape the pain! And so instead the killer became motivated to become a doctor and save lives instead!! So what are you most afraid of: Wolfs in sheep clothes or Time Cube?
  6. Relation between martial arts expert Jackie Chan and KSP could be the suggestion about building/breeding a new kerbal race for space travel and change in human genes which has raised the general height 30 cm in just 1-2 centuries. The higher, heavier and stiffer human clearly looses ability to do acrobatics like classic martial arts! But does it have advantages in zero gravity? Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee are popular actors in western movies only. Bruce is called a dragon, but when hearing his miiaaavs in movies, he sounds more like a pussycat. They don't seemed to have explored "the dark side of the force", they are always "heroes that save the day" in movies! And if you explore Shaw Brothers films, you'll find tons of other martial art movies with actors playing both heroes and crime lords. Until sexuality messed up their martial arts principles .... When a magician does a trick, it's a lie. But Jackie Chan got impressed and tried to become a hero, though he never could perfect it, because he truly believed it was real and not just a trick ... Edit: A real dragon is figurative, because if a snake spits on you and it burns - in reality it is a Dragon!! And Bruce Lee did not do the snake style ...
  7. Energy is damage!!! Not just something to describe with a formula (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mass%E2%80%93energy_equivalence) about motion of mass ... - - - - - - - About the dollars: Would people eat more with more money? How about less? Humans were created to eat regardless of dollars(money) and steal if need to, it is not a choice! Would people work less with more money or work more with less? Those doomed by society to be losers still work hard even when social security pay them top dollar to cool off, they bang car windows for excitement and other crimes! The human mind can not still, if it doesn't have enough problems, perhaps it engages in a family with children, or begin tasks involving more than own requirements like running a factory! There isn't a tiny difference between stone-age and civilization in that, because even if civilization service human needs in many ways, the human mind will always find new troubles for entertainment not to become bored! It is also like if you got a giant tooth headache, what does it matter then, if you walk bare footed in snow and contract flu, can't sleep and other stuff; there is only so much you can take! The dollars are part of a game, those who don't have are losers, and it's entertaining. About the lives: Perhaps you know to a situation where you suffer great pain from something also while waiting for a doctor to consult, but then as it is your turn to consultation, your face lights up in anxiety and positive mood; the doctor can not at all see how it hurts, but he might have a theory ... What does it matter what he can see, you FEEL the pain, and the same goes for those "lives" imagined lost in failed space launches - it is merely "doctor" theory ... Is it possible to levitate matter into space? Why not if that is just a simulation! But since energy is formulated with matter, it is important to acknowledge that the simulation damages in reality!!! Short example: Some one causes you pain, but then fixes the visual broken again so everything physically looks clean and tidy; is it okay thus, if the visuals are just corrected every time? Perhaps it might just be the memory of the pain that objects to torture, but don't you find that feeling hurt must be some kind of damage, and since the visual damage is corrected, the REAL damage must be something else, while the visual is just simulated! Perhaps that is only feelings of pain, because there are also other feelings ... And that's why this was a short example. When watching a movie, it is normal to have one person speak at a time, even at contemporary events it normally displays one then the other event. So it is with the human brain, it not only displays by picture and sound what others say, but it also displays dictate your opinion in turn after those others. That's why it can't be the real you! For example what can it matter to you, what happens to your belongings after your death, it might matter to some one living then, but are you going to wake up from death sleep, because that stuff matters? The mind only dwells in problems when awake, so it can't be possible at death and still the stupid human brain might exert concern to a situation about your belongings after your death! Also for example in documentation about WWII, soldiers in allied forces later told about some of those enemies they met, that "if not for the war they could have been friends, they had family like themselves ..." So why was this something to realize? Because in last century the theory about good and bad as two forces utilizing humans to fight each other was popular! "You could be an evil person!" The movie Star Wars originally simulated energy like that. But with the new movie "The Force Awakens" it is obviously not two forces constantly active anymore, but one sexual - because the hero has to save the girl. And that is another classic popular theory, that good is two humans meant for each other, that's why it is called being unfaithful/bad to screw around - the wicked path. But in reality good and bad are not mathematical in the way negative and positive! For example it is NOT possible to undo damage from "negative" feelings with "positive". Feelings (energy) are only one dimension! When the mind is resting (asleep) that is the smallest trouble, good is more trouble, bad is even worse! For example food that tastes good, is that opposite bad when you enjoy it? The human body was created to eat, if the food didn't taste good, the stomach would vomit, so the taste has nothing to do with pleasing, because it is not a choice! You simply couldn't eat it, if the taste were too bad! But then what about being in love, isn't that wonderful? Well what do infatuation do to the mind for example in the before mention John Wayne movie "El Dorado", where he as gun fighter seem to appreciate that a lovely girl has shot him and placed a bullet in his body!! Delirious ... The visual and heard is a simulation that can be calculated and formulated, because in a simulation "a circle is always round" anywhere in time and space. There is no point in remembering that Stonehenge is the remains of a Viking dorm, or that 1000 of years ago the form of a human eye on a certain person might have looked a little different, because that was only simulation! So when the "hard disk" containing human memories are full, that human can suitably die, so it can be wiped. In the simulation man might travel into space, they might fight wars etc etc, the important is what happens in reality. And since experiencing the simulation damages the real you through feelings (energy), the best thing to accomplish for the real you is to travel! Acknowledge the simulation by finding "the end of the world" and then get free from more damage!
  8. Note about understanding and simulation (of reality): The old greek thinker "Phaedrus" described the soul as a charioteer and a pair of winged horses. (http://www.mythoughts.pro/tag/plato/) (http://classics.mit.edu/Plato/phaedrus.html) Why are they "horses"? Because those horses are heart and mind, which can run away with consciousness (in love/anger) or fly, since they are "winged"! And why are there two horses? Because the soul seeks the truth and It can not come directly, so it has to split in two - feeling and logic! One horse was "good" and the other "bad"? Because energy is young and logic is old (never change)!
  9. When emphasizing dollars and lives it is a game of excitement. There was a previous suggestion about making launches safer: here <- But why do it when explosions are more exciting? And it is subjective to conclude that KSP is not a problem solver. Some decades ago, smoking were not so generally banned in public places. If you were one of those inclined to feel sick and vomit in a combination traveling in a car and smoke or the smell of it, it might take half an hour before the nausea disappeared. And when the responsibility for that were placed by human brains in general, it was unfortunately normal. But if some one without reason would intentionally slap another in the face causing a slight burn for a short while, that would generally be marked as serious violent behavior, though one thing would soon be over, while the other was a half hour of hell. The human brain isn't able to place responsibility (and time doesn't suspend) even with 12 juries on a case. The gyroscope is a mechanical device normally used in flight to navigate. It's not accurate because of the coriolis effect (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coriolis_force). So it still looks like "Schoolfish" are better at navigating ...
  10. It is confusing. For example scientists explains about paracetamol that when it lowers pain, it actually doesn't work on the spot on the body where it is simulated to hurt (http://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/WhoAmI/FindOutMore/Yourbrain/Howdodrugsaffectyourbrain/Howdopainkillerswork), and also some people with amputated limbs claim they can still feel their amputated part. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phantom_limb) So have you truly found yourself yet? Or must we travel into space to acknowledge that ...
  11. This is merely suggestions from a pregnant mind. And the nonsense can fortunately be disregarded. But the thing about "schoolfish" navigation just came up, because in KSP, the space center needs to be upgraded in order for space flights to be planned. And since that probably simulates space-flights are being coordinated from Earth, it's not independent space-navigation! Example: When navigating on a large very straight road in a car alone (at evening/night) and a sign shows a speed limit of 50 km/h and the road is familiar, that speed limit could probably be 30 km/h higher and still in the safety zone, and when driving taxi your customers would probably expect you to go those extra 30 km/h. Fact is that the road is firm, signs and stuff around don't move, but as soon there are other travelers, it is possible that a traveler in front suddenly hits the break, and that presents unknown factors, why for example a lower speed limit might be appropriate. A "perfect kerbal" can only be a robot. Why not try to simulate living creatures with minds? So the very first mind became bored and tried to figure out problems and make rules so to tell others who came later - and who had not figured it out yet - that way the first mind would stand out as champion! And those minds who came later when they got bored they broke the rules ... because that's what rules are for! And then you're playing a game. Would you rather be alone in space with perfect kerbals - though they look human - they are robots? Why not, if possible! For example who makes the better judgement: 1) Prolog (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prolog) is an attempt to simulate knowledge by rules and IDs - it will just need the rules defined and perhaps that can be done by the usual scientific approach to statistics, test something by which the majority of positive results must be the rules. 2) In the "El Dorado (1966)" movie John Wayne plays "Cole" who kills a boy that fires a warning shot, very unfortunately, later a sister to that killed boy mortally wounds "Cole" - John Wayne - which he entirely forgives. And what other reason to his mind can there be to just ignore the fact that she intentionally put a bullet in his body, which the doctor can't get out, other than infatuation; others usually just have to put out a wrong word before those bored cowboy gunfighters drew their pistols! They also said about General Patton in the "Patton (1970)" movie that in order to juice him in aggression, they had headlines of him made in the news papers! Etc etc. But if KSP is suppose to simulate reality then the kerbals behavior could be more troublesome and entertaining at that, since John Wayne & WWII movies are popular too ... Suggestions: 1. First stage to really do (near-future) space travel is for kerbals to build a kind of Saturn ring around Kerbin for habitat. The purpose of that is not to go any further, it is just tourism! And it doesn't require a new kind of kerbal space race, because while kerbals live above ground, they still use Kerbin as resource, but while living above ground they live in a cleaner environment (or are suppose to)! You may not have noticed it - if you have mostly lived nearer equator (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equator), but during the last 3 decades the Sky has been more constantly darkened by clouds in Europe. Global warming was much popular, but what about the clouds covering the UV light more than 6 months of the year? There doesn't seem to be any statistics concerning it on the internet, but it's a fact that UV light kills germs (http://www.geeksonhome.com/how-does_5022324_uv-light-kill-germs.html) and when the Sky gets covered more than half the year, perhaps that causes the majority of flu diseases? Or perhaps the smoke doesn't matter, when you got nose spray. But living above the clouds in the sun, it's another place for tourists. And the challenge would be to build a bug-free environment. For example there could be kerbals failing with UV light, while others succeed with alcohol or chlorine because ... something funny! On interstellar travel the Kerbal hibernating like a bear yelling: "Where the heck is my quality of life? Oh yes, there's no problems while sleeping!" Is the mind something to turn off with sleep, when there's no problems, and turn on where there are task to complete, because you only matters, when you work and there's a need for it? Or is the mind something that requires problems, so if there aren't any, it goes crazy? Gee look a all the dust, every day adds a new layer, so if you'd like something to do ... There are plenty of people who does that instead of crosswords. But why not build an orbital habitat, where you use liquid and UV light to somehow naturally or automatically clean, while solving the nature of being bored another way? 2. Second stage could be a habitat using the ring of Saturn as resource. In "Homeworld" there were gas clouds and rocks in space to harvest. Perhaps KSP could simulate something more realistic?
  12. Space is a tiger with a frightening growl. KSP adjust those tones and makes them pleasant (& entertaining) instead, so now it's a pussycat! XCOM keeps the growl and displays a space-alien-snake ("reptile" is their true form) instead! If there was a global immediate threat that a new "WWII bad person-regime" was about to invade from space, or if the human race were actually going exodus into space, there would probably be more pleasantry in accurate simulations. Reality is what is inside and not for example "waves" existing where not to be heard ...
  13. When you are on a day-job, discussions are meant to solve problems so they can be dealt with; it makes sense! Except at lunch break gossips, where the greatest attention comes from the most exciting accidents that has recently happened; but that is just the nature of human brain, it gets no joy from news like space rocket launches that just works! When you got a chronicle disease, people still ask you "what's up?", but now discussions are not anymore meant to solve that, which still troubles you, instead you're just feeding news for lunch break gossip! What is the mind supposed to do with a chronicle problem? You don't get it, because that's impossible! So if it really complicates things, you can turn it around and simulate that instead! Send impossible Kerbals for the entertainment of course! For example it is often explained as distinct difference between animals and humans, humans ability to think and act independently, yet when animals copulate they just do it naturally, while humans generally try all kinds of positions as if they were trying to figure it out ... If Kerbals are supposed to simulate human abilities, they should be bad like for example Interstellar Rocket Travel that went wrong because the astronaut forgot his crossword-puzzles!
  14. @Nathair, sound is a perception of energy. KSP is like a nice advertisement for being in space, because synthesizers simulates such pleasant tones while in KSP space. To a naive mind that is just wow. But if the sounds aren't that important for a realistic space simulator, why not add some pleasant sounds? We are never going to travel there ourselves in reality, so it doesn't matter what's true!
  15. Was that the answer to being a cosmonaut in a confined space? Still travelling in space is pretty far out ...
  16. About gene-manipulation it is only during the last about 200 years that the humans' general height has grown enormously (http://ourworldindata.org/data/food-agriculture/human-height/). Check it out first to acknowledge this statistic fact, which also clearly is visible since ALL our old preserved country houses have much lower door-frames. This is a bad development, if the human body generally becomes more stiff in the back and limbs, and the heavier weight to no use at all! Doesn't it wonder you at all that the human general height has grown 30 cm in less than 200 years after being here for 5 mill. years ??? Cattle milk ... ... could that perhaps be the factor in gene-manipulation IYHO? And when checking the statistics (link reference above) doesn't it seem like the "cowboys" grew first ? ... Anyway fact is still that interstellar space travel requires a new kind of kerbal race which must also be built or bred before the rocket space ship!
  17. If you were to define what a "wave" is (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wave), would you draw a picture or make a sound ? ... "A fun sentence" is something subjective irrelevant. Anyway statement started with " There probably ain't" which expresses a wonder about KSP accuracy of rocket sound simulation. In any usual space game sounds are always expressed instantly like sitting inside a car hearing the engine. Also space movies ditto. But when hearing a siren from a car passing on the street there is a sound difference, so why not ponder about the realism of the KSP simulator?
  18. Simulate the End of the World! Can you simulate "the end of the world"? Yes, you can! A simulated world has a definite end at the amount of computer hard disk space, which contains all the data of the simulated content! Large hard disks today can contain 1-2 TB on PCs, but they all have an end even when grouped. Captain Picard in Star Trek the Next Generation often marks the exploration of endless space as significant, so why not simulate the end of the world? A circle is round and does that change far out there in discovery? Space is discovered in colors, sounds and feelings, and they don't change by travel, the world really ain't that big! So this (End of World) really is relevant for a realistic space simlator compared to those game simulations like for example "X3" with alien races. Alien races are simply used as opponents in game content. But history doesn't really exists! For example it is history that humans have their own "free will". So they might as well be similar to pieces in a chess play, because every chess piece also can move freely. Actually humans don't really decide what to do, they have "needs" to fulfil; so if any one needs to toilet, they can say no - - 5 seconds later the urge to toilet "asks" again and so on repeatedly until done; so what kind of "free will" is it, that just gets to prolong the already decided ??? It's like chess pieces with bound moves. History is about who wins the game. But what do you do after game over? You start another game! So does it really matter who won?? There are plenty of examples of replays; crossword-puzzles in daily magazines etc. It is just something to do for the human mind out of boredom. And it is crazy that humans need problems or have to create some when there are none for occupation, but that's what wars are all about. And since they have to do it, then it is not "free will" but entertainment. The game is only serious as long as you are playing it! For example according to history native american indians were placed in concentration camps in US many years before jewish people were in Germany. So is a circle still round no matter where you travel? ; Are you oblieged to note your name, when the police ask you about it? "I don't have a name, nobody knew it, when I was born, so they just invented one; I don't need it ..." The name is used as ID in the government game play. But what happens when your opponent cheats and regardless of the pieces on the board declares chessmate? Things have purpose when you are playing a game. The history is important to winning. When you don't play, things don't have an explanation; when you discuss something it doesn't matter, since you're not playing! Suggestions: 1. How 'bout ability to build kerbals? Humans were created to entertain on Earth; can a worm evolve to fly, or can a bird evolve to make topsoil out of organic waste? Living in space requires a new race to the conditions there. Perhaps without gender and organic food and with the bears' ability to hibernate. Like faulty space rockets, faulty kerbals could be fun and entertaining, if they by accident got prey tendencies from an animal gene. But what's realistic? Is it possible to have a kerbal mind that can solve problems and then switch off, when there are no further problems to solve, so it doesn't get bored? What do real cosmonauts do? 2. Simulate the end of the world: Since it doesn't really matter who win wars as they will just be refought, skip the last 5 percent. Like not seeing the last 4 minutes of a 80 minutes movie entertainment. ------------------------------------------- New space coordination and navigation: Check out a picture of schoolfish (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/09/18/fish-schools-genes_n_3947303.html) - the bubble form all the single fish create as a whole - looks like a magnetic field. So how can a single schoolfish in the darkness of the whole coordinate to its position, and how does the whole school navigate? Democracy? Anyway this secret probably answers how to coordinate and navigate in space. If the player could manipulate forces of nature to position a space ship, then making it lighter than air should position its height; making its ends more positive or negative to the planet pols should position its latitude; but what force position its longitude/"timezone" ? ------------------------------------------ Milky Way simulation: Is the Milky Way (http://www.space.com/19915-milky-way-galaxy.html) pictures showing something more than just clouds that makes a fuzz out of very little ?? For example take the moonlight on a shimmering water surface, that might just be the answer to the Milky Way. And perhaps something a new kerbal race can live by ... ------------------------------------------ Black Holes: Timejump really exists. In games by quicksave/quickload. And by history writers who simply jump back in their pages to rewrite their history. If "black holes" picture something relevant in physics, perhaps it is invisible matter? The visible world is only a simulation in the "brain", photons who supposedly send light signals are not visible themselves, but they are the reality while the visible is just simulation ...
  19. Guess it just came up as a comment, because Scott Manley has got so many videos on youtube about KSP and science, and suddenly he began a serious walkthrough of XCOM 2 ...
  20. There probably ain't much sound in space especially when travelling, since sound is pretty slow "waves". Still KSP 1.0 has got a pleasant atmosphere. XCOM 2 has mostly got growling prey and a nasty atmosphere of danger to it. "Daddy's here ...": In the XCOM 2 story a character appears in "intel" with darkened face and slow voice saying "Heelloooo ... Commander!" like a daddy figure you have to please/show what you can do! The story of KSP is more like a historical based re-simulation of the US space-program from the first step and then travelling to the moon. KSP would probably not be so exciting if there weren't the high probabilities of explosions and crashing to puzzle with. And in XCOM 2 it is probably neither the logic of defeating enemies that excites, but more the sounds to it; because the characters can shoot through roofs and throw grenades with 100% accuracy while guns are less accurate and dependant on "perks". Still KSP tries to simulate real gravity and atmosphere mechanics, which can be wonders until discovered that's what makes the game. XCOM 2 simulates troubling aliens in ugly forms. Perhaps ugliness is the game developers way of telling those aliens are no more than animal vermin. But ugliness would not exist at all if humans didn't have need for food and procreation, because the looks of things is how the human body tells/gets a taste - good/bad, want/dangerous. It is subjective and it changes that way, because as soon as the body is feed up of a certain food item or person, it grows a dislike, which is illogic since the same target previously was defined otherwise and really hasn't changed. So objectively "ugliness" doesn't exists! There is no conclusion to XCOM 2 vs KSP 1.0 because that is also a subjective matter, something which is really true to some "brains" but not to others. So if you happen to very much like XCOM 2 "intel daddy" figure, don't let it trouble you if somebody gets a big laugh of it, since it is purely a subjective matter!
