  1. I've made 2 types of horizontally viewing landers, unfortunately I have never taken either of them to the moon. I've only made a few hops around KSC. They have proven to be far to dangerous for my fellow kerbals.
  2. Your kerbal's back is against the bottom of the pod and he is looking straight up through the window.
  3. I would love to see a lander capsule. So then I can see horizontally while I land.

  6. i made a small 'how to' on this. http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=16786.0 with my way you can jettison all of the stuff on top as you re-enter
  7. With the older and smaller parts (ASAS, SAS, RCS tanks, ect.) we all have figured out that they don\'t fit well with the new command pod. So to combat this we just stack the RCS and SAS modules on top of the pod and put the parachute on top like a cherry on a cake. however, whenever I re-enter Kerbin and deploy my parachute it usually will just rip the RCS and SAS right off of the command pod and leave my poor kerbals falling to their doom. So to share with you all I just recently discovered how to conceal my parachute and prevent it from ripping off, and it just plain looks cool . first we take our parachute and ASAS attached to an upside down decoupler (so the decoupler leaves the pod with the ASAS) now we attach the parachute on top of the pod. note: don\'t let the parachute snap into position, place the parachute the best you can in the middle without letting it snap. and now the SAS fits snugly over the top and as you can see, as you re-enter your concealed parachute is ready to deploy

  12. -part 1- 1. make a 1 man pod with lander attached 2. make the 1 man lander orbit the Mun 3. expose of the kerbal in the lander so then it\'s an empty single crew lander orbiting the Mun -part 2- 1. launch the 3 crew pod to orbit the Mun 2. rendezvous with the empty lander 3. EVA 1 kerbal into the lander 4. land and EVA with the 1 kerbal -part 3- 1. ascend with the lander and orbit 2. rendezvous with the 3 crew pod 3. send the kerbal from the lander back into the pod 4. go home
  13. this is so much fun thank you for sharing. i put the cart mod on the bottom for landing gear and it works. if you\'re takeing off from the strip the takeoff speed is about 64 m/s

    nope, they don\'t need to be rescued. They are green so that must mean they can photosynthesize and live forever up there

    hey guys, i\'m just here to say....hey. anyway, I\'ve been playing for 3 days now and i\'m hooked. i think this is a great game and say to the devs, KEEP IT UP! I\'ve been able to make 1 successful, 1 crash landing (but lived), and 1 aborted landing on the Mun! Well, think that\' enough, great to be with you all.
