For anyone wondering, I've sent a lander to Sedna once in my own custom mod, last year. I used an enormous electric propulsion ship. It was a one way journey with the kerbals trapped in their tiny lander. Quite the place. Point is, it's possible, you should add it because this is currently an awesome mod.
