  1. Ah, sorry. I didn't realize it was a forum link. So awkward.
  2. Sounds like a good idea. I played the sandbox game a few times years ago but never really got the hang of it. I don't think I even made it to the moon. Fired it up again now around christmas and found there were new play modes, so I started a career and a science game. It's much easier to learn it when you don't have that jungle of parts to choose from before you know what you want them for. As you unlock new things, you start using them and progress is smooth sailing.
  3. This is correct. You can launch KSP directly from the Steam folder. KSP is fully portable. I launch it from CKAN even if it's a Steam install.
  4. After I got comfortable with the Mun and Minmus, I started interplanetary travel. First with simultaneous probe launches to Duna and Eve. After those arrived and transmitted their science, I started a manned mission to Ike and some better probes with more science instruments to Eve, Jool and Moho, now with nuclear engines in the hopes that they will have the dV to explore the moons as well. In an effort to save funds Jebediah completely disbanded the testing phase and with these saved kerbbucks he is sending massive overkill rockets to every corner of the Kerbol system, confident that they will work just as planned. While waiting for the transfer windows, I'm building a mining colony on Minmus. Doing of all of this simultaneously seems to be almost impossible without Kerbal Alarm Clock, so a huge round of applause to TriggerAu for this most excellent mod.
