check Player.log and tghe unity perfs file.

the path is something like (working from memory) ~/.config/unity3d/Squad/KSP/

    Sounds like you are being bit by this;

Found the work around, apparently in the prefs file in the .config folder, the resolution becomes 1853 by 1 and thus creating the non-loading situation. I was able to get it to load by changing the values to the correct resolution for my screens.

  2. so im not sure whether i'm posting this in the correct thread but here goes:

I originally had the UI bug issue that lots of people (in linux/ubuntu) are having with 1.1. I was able to use the -force-glcore workaround and it worked out fine.

I decided to install Kerbalism, still great.

I added scatterer and it loaded but once I switched off the Fullscreen option (only so that I could move it to my second monitor) KSP window disappeared and well I had no choice but to force quit it.

I figured it was the mods so I decided to install a fresh KSP 1.1 and once I tried to load it with -force-glcore... nothing happened. I'm stuck, I get no errors.

    It prints this:

    Found path: /home/me/Documents/KSP_linux/KSP.x86_64
    Mono path[0] = '/home/me/Documents/KSP_linux/KSP_Data/Managed'
    Mono path[1] = '/home/me/Documents/KSP_linux/KSP_Data/Mono'
    Mono config path = '/home/me/Documents/KSP_linux/KSP_Data/Mono/etc'
displaymanager : xrandr version warning. 1.5
    client has 6 screens
    displaymanager screen (0)(HDMI-0): 1920 x 1080
    displaymanager screen (1)(DVI-0): 1920 x 1080
    Using libudev for joystick management

    Importing game controller configs

But instead of KSP loading, nothing happens.

Hope someone can shed some light.

    Thanks :D

I am pretty sure Squad would like to focus on getting KSP 1.1 done and are very happy that somebody else, be that Curse, Kerbalstuff or Spacedock, is taking care of curating all those mods.

And you know what? I am all for that.

    Very well said.

Thanks much and no problem! I'm really excited as well. Next update will probably add moons to most of the planets in the Valentine System along with some minor tweaks. If you have any ideas for those moons, please give me suggestions. I intend to have a bunch of moons in orbit around Lomina and its getting pretty difficult to come up with ideas for its moons.

I can maybe suggest one of those moons to be a kerbin-esque body. Using the gravitational energy from Lomina (or from its parent planet) to make it an actively warmer body much like Titan in our system. Just a thought :3
