Juno cinematic! It's quick but I think it's pretty good -
Aww, darn, I really wanted to use this XD

[REUSEABLE ROCKET] 1 Rocket 1 Station
TheKSPDesigner replied to TheKSPDesigner's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Absolutely! As long as the actual booster doesn't go back into the VAB/SPH By the way, very impressive! -

Hey, here's some food for thought, how about building a plane to bring over a payload and fuel? -
[REUSEABLE ROCKET] 1 Rocket 1 Station
TheKSPDesigner replied to TheKSPDesigner's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Wow! Thanks for the long response thanks! I didn't know that challenge existed, I'll be sure to mention it I will make sure that 1.25m modules are allowed but I'm not gonna permit any smaller than that I do agree that if you manage to complete this challenge you are most certainly a winner if you complete this, especially if you complete hard mode I do however have to disagree with KIS and stuff as this is intended to be a really tough challenge and mods like those could severely limit the amount of difficulty that this challenge presents Thanks again! -
[REUSEABLE ROCKET] 1 Rocket 1 Station
TheKSPDesigner replied to TheKSPDesigner's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Sweet! Haha no worries, only the first stage needs to be -
Sure! I'll take some when I get the chance (11:15 here, gonna sleep)

BUILT LAUNCHED AND LANDED A FULLY FUNCTIONAL FALCON 9 REPLICA. YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW PROUD I AM RIGHT NOW
-
I've never built a working SSTO I often try but in my 3 years of playing I've never built one. I've only built two stations without hyper edit I either never wanted to or couldn't I just CANT fail a mission in career mode I often find myself using the debug menu if without enough fuel to return home, or using it if I don't get into orbit This isn't a confession, you're just a soviet T_T

[REUSEABLE ROCKET] 1 Rocket 1 Station
TheKSPDesigner replied to TheKSPDesigner's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
That is a far better idea! I'll implement that Whoa! That's really cool!! Absolutely, but remember, it's total mass divided by total cost, so don't make anything too pricey (ooh, as for the SSTO if you can make one in the VAB go for it -
[REUSEABLE ROCKET] 1 Rocket 1 Station
TheKSPDesigner replied to TheKSPDesigner's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
It's generally just an honor system, don't be cheeky and launch a z100 battery module, something the size of a hitchiker or something, just a standard size space station module you'd put on your own space station (I'll update the rules ) Thanks! I just put in the scoring system to the challenge desc. excited to see what you come up with! -
[REUSEABLE ROCKET] 1 Rocket 1 Station
TheKSPDesigner replied to TheKSPDesigner's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Nah, use a rocket, much like the Falcon 9 (if you're confused just use the example videos) Cheers! -
HELLO ALL This "1 Station 1 Rocket" Idea is essentially the concept of using 1 booster stage that you may not recover by going into the VAB or SPH again. LEADERBOARD: to put a space station into an orbit of any altitude. Station MUST be 3 modules or more, each module must (tbd) contain it's own probe, batteries, it's own way to generate power and must be 1.25m and be a fair size, just... Honor code people, no cheeky .625m Oscar B sized modules. STEPS: - Build a booster stage to get the payload to a point where it can use it's onboard engines to boost it to orbit - Build a fuel truck to refuel the rocket after landing the booster - Build a crane to put the module on the rocket Put the module on the booster however necessary - Pack enough fuel in the modules to assemble a space station using only one rocket ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HARD MODE: 1 Moon base 1 Rocket STEPS: - Same thing as station except put it on the moon ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SCORING: I will keep a leaderboard of the scores, essentially you will be rated as to the mass of the station and rocket (KGs) minus the cost in funds (station and rocket), just so we have a cheap but large space station. (If you have a better idea plz comment)

Disregard this. -
THE YEAR WAS ONE OF THE 2000S I REALLY DON'T REMEMBER PLZ DON'T JUDGE I was a simple space enthusiast who was looking for something to listen to while at the YMCA exercising... I was thinking about space stations at the time and I looked up future space station, it directed me to a Bigalow space station video and while watching it I thought, man wouldn't it be cool if there was a game like this? Once the video had finished a video by SuestraGaming popped up, the laythe station (At the time I had no clue what it was so I watched it). Once the screen had shown a massive space station with full control, I was hooked. I saw the station and immediately looked up the game. I eventually got bored of watching videos of it (my computer at the time wouldn't have been able to run it very well with a gt 550) and lost interest. A while later I was watching a buran documentary and in one of the recommended videos was KurtJMac's old KSP video where he tried to build a space shuttle. At the time I had gotten a better computer and immediately went and got the demo (which at the time was still like ksp 0.13) and kept playing it and playing it almost every day. After playing it for months I finally decided "eh, screw it" and bought the game. I swear I spent a good 3 hours a day playing it (I had like 5 free hours). Over time I have developed muh l33t KSP skillz and have started on cinematics. I have still yet to be bored Fin

HELLO! We all know that nobody uses the lvl. 1 runway in career due to it's absolutely horrendous bumpiness, everybody simply taxis onto the grass beside it. IDEA: The surrounding terrain around KSC should be bumpy like the rest of Kerbin, Also, the surrounding terrain possibly also get flatter as you upgrade the runway, as it would cause players to actually need to upgrade the runway if they want to attempt to fly. The level 1 runway is good enough for basic planes but if you are looking to make more advanced planes, we all just taxi off the runway. This could be prevented and add another element to the whole career mode by making a small change ***************************************************************************************** If you're not all that experienced with modding, no reason to continue ****************************************************************************************** MODDERS!! I am semi familiar with the Unity engine and know that squad probably used something other than the standard terrain tool to create Kerbin, however, I also know that mods that allow you to sort of edit the terrain already exist, with the new 64 bit functionality, perhaps a terrain editor mod could be released or at least a mod that creates what I said above. Any ideas are welcome

Quick question! I understand that this mod is built to calculate multiple physics bodies but how far in the future does that go? There must be a limit to how far in the future the program can accurately predict N-Body physics, right? Because I was thinking of a grand tour type mission where I waited until the planets got into a good alignment (I study astrodynamics ) and try to get gravity assists through them all to visit every planet and though, will this go in the future enough to get an accurate maneuver? Anyway, thanks a bunch for helping, keep up the good work!
